Meet Banda Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Banda Los Angeles.

This Venezuelan band is made up of four young people in the city of Maracay: Erick Angel (Vocalist and rhythm guitar), Héctor Ruano (Bass and harmonica), Orel (solo guitar) and Victor Daboin (drums)

Classic rock band composed in Venezuela that delights us with good music influenced by the roots of (Country, Blues and a bit of Rockabilly) from their first EP to the album that today is in “En silencio te Pienso”

“En silencio te pienso” is the second record release (first LP album) of Banda Los Angeles, contacting the first EP “Espacio y Tiempo” released on September 9, 2016. This album of 9 songs, is characterized by its fresh but classic sound from a rock band from the 60s and 70s that these 4 youngsters had, alternated with primitive styles such as Skiffle in the case of “I’ve survived” and Blues; in which the band has its roots .. In each of the songs there are solos of crude Blues / Rock guitars, some sounds and solos of harmonicas and even the bass does not stop being the protagonist throughout the album, without stopping highlight the singer’s distinguished solo voice. So this new production by Erick, Héctor, Orel and Víctor. We move in an original way to the time of the origins of the genre with the experience of the moment to mark the future of Rock.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
Our music is a manifestation of the respect and admiration and pride that each one of us feels for real music, for the great bands that will never die and the great songs that will never stop being listened to, and at the same time a concern of: What will happen in the future when our great idols can no longer play, when the rock stars begin to physically disappear? We want to be the generation of relief and part of a rebirth that we believe is key and necessary for the world. We cannot imagine a world without Rock n Roll. What would our children listen to?

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
The biggest challenge for us as artists is that nowadays music has been simplified and has become very technological, it is a very good thing, if we take it as support but it can also be something extremely damaging for the future of music, then our serious challenge is to make young people fall in love again and encourage them to play real instruments and make more organic music because for us art should not be so technological
