Meet Avi Nimmer of Soul Warrior Coaching in Culver City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Avi Nimmer.

Avi, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My life was good: I was a co-owner of a company I felt passionate about, had a beautiful loving partner, strong friends and family — I had all the ‘things’. Yet something was missing. And I had no idea what!

Something deep in me knew all was not ‘right’. Frustration was pervasive, anger quick to boil, apathy & laziness status quo. I couldn’t maintain a healthy diet or exercise, I was dependent on vices to relieve the discomfort-of-being in my tense and locked up body. Worse of all — this had been my ‘normal’ for so long I was not even aware of it, yet alone empowered to make any shifts around it. All I knew, on a deep subconscious level, was that I was not as happy as I felt I could be.

This all began to shift when I hired my first life coach. By diving deep into self, and awareness of the truer truths of the systems we are operating in, I learnt & realized that much of what I had built in my life up until this point (work, love, routines, habits & beliefs) were no longer serving in me in the now. Further, I became empowered to overcome all the fear, narratives, stories of it ‘should’ be different; and I radically changed and transformed so many of these draining variables in my life.

The work was so powerful and transformational that it inspired me to quit my job (which was not serving me; and was therefore killing me) and pursue a coaching career of my own. So set off the journey of Soul Warrior Coaching!

I have devoted my life to this work ever since. From a masters Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner certification, Sacred Circle Facilitator Training, wilderness retreats, embodied movement training, and so much more, I pursue and have the tools to help self and others radically transform and rides the waves of life with as much ease, grace, fulfillment, and fun as imaginable!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” – Helen Keller

When we pursue our truest, highest and deepest lives, truths, and freedoms, it rarely is without obstacles and struggles along the way. Especially since this typically includes stepping out of the prescribed norms, grooves and servitude society has largely groomed us for.

Launching, growing and continuing to execute my ‘transformational soul coaching’ business has been riddled with challenges & roadblocks. So is the experience of any entrepreneur, small business owner; and potentially this even greater for its niche nature.

And, notwithstanding and nevertheless, I wouldn’t have it any other way! I’ve marched the paved road before — worked for the company, settled in the relationship, played small and didn’t make waves. The discomfort of the acute struggles experienced in this endeavor is nothing compared to the slow dull dying I experienced in self of NOT pursuing my greatest truth & purpose.

While the struggles and challenges continue to morph and arise, I am grateful for each one of them, signifying a new hurdle on the ever further, wider, and more successful road I continue to march.

Soul Warrior Coaching – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
In my Transformational Soul Coaching business, I help people heal, remember, and embody into their greatest lives.

We are so free — to change anything, to create anything, to alleviate suffering and step into presence, gratitude and joy.

I help people clarify and create what they would like in order to create this reality for themselves.

Unpealing the layers of beliefs, identities, experiences, and limitations that have had us forget that we are stardust godlike beings with unlimited potential and capacity.

Slow & steady, consistent & incremental — this work provides a safe and supported space to allow the graceful, gradual, and intentional death of all parts of self that are not serving us; stoking of the inner fire of the truer versions of self ready to brit through the ashes.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Every ‘first’ in my business is always proud and exciting: first client, first corporate workshop, first rehab facility workshop, first wilderness workshop, first client ‘graduation’. Every time I receive feedback from a client at the end of our container, I am almost always immensely proud: the transformations they achieve over a relatively short period of time is always so beautiful and inspiring, their awareness and appreciation of it is so heart-filling. So many proud moments on this journey; and they only continue to grow!
