Meet Austin Adduci of Dtox Day Spa in Los Feliz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Austin Adduci.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Austin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I recently purchased Dtox Day Spa, as I saw that it was a well established day spa that had tremendous potential to grow… Dtox has been the shining beacon of luxury days spas in Los Angeles for over a decade now and I believe can grow into multiple locations and be the new gold standard for luxury day spa’s in Los Angeles.

My background is in real estate and business development. Owning a local real estate brokerage, for nearly a decade, gave me my foundation for business development and growth.

Has it been a smooth road?
The transition and take over of Dtox has been fairly smooth, as it is a fairly well-built business. However, the trouble has come from exposure. Commonly, the bigger entities saturate the market with their own marketing materials, which ultimate drowns out the smaller groups. However, I have found that most clients prefer our individualized attention and brand to the bigger groups. Thus, allowing us to shine through in reviews and discussion boards.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Featured on The Ellen Show, The Voice, KTLA, and The Doctors, you are invited to experience an award-winning day spa best known for its signature healing massages and results-oriented facials. Nestled in a nook just off the 5 freeway in Atwater Village, an oasis of health and wellness awaits you at dtox day spa. Enter an environment of Asian minimalism with an Indonesian flare that incorporates elements of water, earth, fire and air. While minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you will feel hundreds of miles away when you escape to and ‘dtox’ at this urban retreat.

The airy treatment rooms are gently illuminated by candlelight while the expansive relaxation atrium features 15-foot double waterfalls and a large buddha of healing powers, providing a tranquil oasis for guests to enjoy either before or after treatments. Renewable and eco-friendly resources such as bamboo and recycled glass panels are integrated with the exposed brick masonry walls and 20-foot high vaulted ceilings accented with wood beams.

Esthetics and Massage Providers with healing hands compose the top-tier team of highly skilled talent at dtox day spa. Treatments are tailored to the guests’ needs by working synergistically with the recuperative abilities of your body. Choose from a playground of relaxation services off the spa menu featuring innovative therapies that reflect the dtox philosophy of generating results. Shop from the highest quality of natural, paraben-free, botanical skincare products offered in the dtox retail skincare line. To complete the experience, indulge in organic hot tea, fruit-infused water, fresh or dried fruit, and decadent brownies in our atrium.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
While LA is a VERY competitive market, I do believe its is a great place to start, as it does support local and small business in their early stages. However, I believe that LA, as a city, could do more for their small businesses. Perhaps in the way of cuts for utilities, taxes, etc.
