Today we’d like to introduce you to Aurora Rosselli.
Aurora, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised in Catania, Sicily, a beautiful city with the beach on one side and the Volcano Etna on the other. At the age of nine, I began at the Liceo Artistico in Italy and became devoted to the world of Art. After that, I enrolled at the Accademia di Belle Arti where I continued gathering the tools necessary to express my passion for Art. I graduated but I felt incomplete so I continued my studies in Archeology specializing in Cultural Assets and Historical Research. I was already working all over the world and I was very passionate about my job but life doesn’t always go the way you want and I ended up moving here in the US. It was a hard move, I couldn’t work anymore in my field, especially after having my children, and life here was completely different than what it used to back in Italy. Photography, sculpting, and scenography, are just a few of the other forms of art I have embraced back home and I ended up taking pictures again for fun, was my favorite subject at the Academy. I also started painting again and someone noticed my work on Social Media. All of a sudden I was having Art exhibits in Hollywood, New York, Paris, signed with Getty and Saatchi & Saatchi, I also started my photography business and that too off pretty quickly. Social media was also a great outlet to get my work noticed and eventually I started gaining more followers, brands started noticing me more and more until I signed a contract with Cosmopolitan for their Social Media Patrol.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t a smooth road at the beginning. I did not know what direction I wanted to go, I never thought in my life I would have used my art as a way of living, was more like something for me, private, the way I expressed myself. When I was asked to do my first exhibit in Hollywood it was really hard for me to put myself out there and being noticed was even harder. I like to be more private with my life and all of a sudden everyone could see me and knew me so I had to come to terms with that. I have to say that professionally, once I did the first show, everything came to me pretty easily and organically, moving along pretty smoothly, and changes came as I grew in my business and profession.
Please tell us about Eclisse Creazioni.
I am a Professional Photographer. I am known for Fine Art Photography and Portraiture. I also work as an Influencer for many world-renowned brands and magazines. I never thought I would like product photography as much as I do but being able to show lifestyle settings and highlight products to my followers is just so fun for me! I love to connect with my clients and followers on a personal level, get to know them and highlight the people or the product in their true nature.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory was spending my summers at our beach house in Sicily. Every summer we moved there from the city and it was all so magical, those long days at the beach or roaming around the village with friends on the bikes. The Bonfires at night and swimming at midnight… it’s all still so vivid in my mind!
