Today we’d like to introduce you to Audri Allen.
Audri, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Born and raised here in the San Fernando Valley. Yes, I’m a valley girl with a little bit of Vegas in me. Lived in Vegas for about five years.
Grew up in a very loving home and with my mother being my role model. In the beginning, I wanted to be an actress but as the years progressed I started leaning towards behind the scenes. That’s when I decided since I love doing hair and traveling, being a celebrity hairstylist I can get both traveling and hair done.
Has it been a smooth road?
Obstacles and challenges I had faced in the past were definitely tough due to my failing to stick accordingly to plans. Parents going through a divorce and all can make it challenging for anyone who isn’t already focused. So I dropped out of school and started bottle servicing and bartending in Las Vegas. Eventually, I became stultify with my life and decided to move back to LA and things started to look clearer.
Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about your work?
So I do hair. For both men and women, my specialty is definitely cutting. Personally, cutting hair is therapeutic and I just love it. I’d say I’m an expertise at my cuts, anything from pixie cuts, layers and men’s cut. I am most proud that I have this ambition within me to continue do the best as I can to build my future, and it’s a constant thing, I cannot stop or else I will never succeed any of my goals. If you love what you’re doing in life then there should never be an excuse. My clients being satisfied with their new hairdo definitely sparks something within me.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I believe the valley is a great area where business can start out, of course. There are many opportunities out there for anyone who is hungry enough.
