Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Frey.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ashley. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was fortunate to discover Dr. Masaru Emoto’s book The Hidden Messages In Water which talks about Dr. Emoto’s water studies which demonstrated the powerful effects of placing our intentions towards water.
Dr. Emoto took 2 bottles of water and wrote love on one and hate on the other. He froze them and using a high powered microscope he was able to photograph the water crystal formations. The bottles with positive affirmations like love, peace, joy and gratitude froze in beautiful snowflake like crystals while the bottles with hate, fear, negativity and doubt looked almost like cancer cells.
I was fascinated to see that aside from its fundamental functions, water is alive and able to take on many forms. Knowing that the human body is made up of 70% water it became clear to me just how much the quality of water correlates with a person’s mental and physical well-being. It was then that I decided to create a bottled water company based around positive affirmations and raise the energy vibrations of the world thus California Love Water was born.
I knew I wanted to donate a percentage of my proceeds to a water relief charity because I am passionate in my belief that everyone in the world should have access to clean drinking water. In January 2017 I travelled to Nicaragua on a vision trip for an organization called Love Water that builds biosand filters and wells for communities without access to clean drinking water. I convinced my Dad to come with me on this journey and we were able to see and experience for ourselves the difference that clean drinking water can make to a community. On this same trip we embarked on a grueling two and a half hour hike to a remote village to discover that their well had completely run dry. It was a mystery to us how these people were surviving in such conditions. That night when we finally reached our hotel and gratefully quenched our thirst my father decided then and there that he would donate the funds needed to re-dig the well for that village.
My Dad is such an inspiration to me and he got so much more than he gave by giving this community clean water. We can’t wait to see the positive impact and opportunity clean water will bring to their lives. That journey marked the beginning of California Love Water and 5% of our profits will go to the Love Water charity to provide clean water to communities in Nicaragua and Africa.
When I started California Love Water I couldn’t have imagined where this journey would take me. I have been sponsoring lots of conscious events and bringing a positive vibe wherever I go. I have to say that since starting this I am happier than I have ever been in my entire life. I found my purpose, my passion and I am creating good in the world and inspiring others.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth is not the word I would choose. Lol there are still plenty of struggles. I am focused on building the foundation of the brand and trying to be patient to see what the best direction is and where I can create the most good.
Trying to find the time to pursue my passion and purpose as well as work a full time job to support it all is definitely a struggle. However, if it was easy everyone would do it. I knew I had to start somewhere and decided that the perfect time is now.
My apartment in Los Angeles has been turned into a “water sanctuary.” Pretty much my entire bedroom and all of the closets are stacked full of California Love Water. When the delivery truck arrives to drop off the pallets of water I definitely get a workout hauling everything upstairs. I joke with my friends that if anything ever happens (earthquake etc.) they should just come to my place because I have plenty of water!
Another challenge is to be able to switch from plastic to glass or to create some sort of special recycling program so that California Love Water has a spiritual, scientific, charitable and environmentally friendly message. This is a priority for the future and will take an investor etc. to make it a reality.
I am pretty much winging this whole thing and the plan is to manifest angels to help me along the way. It is incredible the amount of people who have been coming out of the woodwork to support me.
I have found that good always attracts good. I am creating something positive in the world and so many people want to be involved with something like that.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the California Love Water story. Tell us more about the business.
I am the founder and CEO of California Love Water.
I am also the designer, delivery person, sales person, marketing person, social media person, photographer, event coordinator, cleaning person… I am wearing lots of hats at the moment.
I would like to think that I am known for my creativity and positivity.
California Love Water has a spiritual, scientific and charitable message. I don’t know of many brands that can say the same. Children don’t know what brands are but they all know what love is and it’s really exciting to see them gravitate towards the love water. I think this sets us apart.
One of my favorite things about Love Water is how you activate it.
1: Shake it
2: Hold it to your heart
3: Think of something you are grateful for
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Tony Robbins says the harder we work the luckier we get. He’s right.
