Meet Ashleigh Yates

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashleigh Yates.

Ashleigh, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a product of two entrepreneur Parents who were very successful and an integral part of why I always wanted to be my own boss and I have had my fair share of Entrepreneurial endeavors and failures. I used to not like talking about the failures, however I’ve learned you have to first fail really hard before you find success. Those failures have been guidelines for my successes now, and I’m stronger because of them. Failing never feels good, but the lessons learned when you fall are more impactful than when you’re on top of the world. My background is in marketing. I went to College at University of Hawaii and ended up getting my Marketing and Management degree from National University. My past small business’ include owning a retail store, a mobile spray tanning business, and even a children’s clothing line.

All of these business’ lead me to my decision of becoming a Real Estate Agent. I knew I always wanted to be my own boss, run my own business and still be the Supermom my kids deserve and I haven’t looked back since. My story with Real Estate started about two years ago when I knew I needed something for me to do that was more than being a Stay at Home mom. I needed something that gave me goals and a feeling of accomplishment outside of my role as CEO at my home. I took an online course to get my Real Estate License, passed my exam and signed up with the kickass brokerage in Southern California, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Being in Real Estate isn’t easy, it’s not what they show on the Fancy Reality TV Shows, there is a ton of grind and hours that are put in with often no return… but persistence pays off in this business.

It’s not for the faint at heart or those who don’t want to work hard. It’s a constant Hustle and is genuinely based on building relationships with people, following up and genuinely caring about helping them. I currently work as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker, Property Manager for a local Investor and run a networking group, The Circle City Society for female entrepreneurs in my local city of Corona where I live. Building up other women and community is important for me and I do believe that you build up people and they help build your business.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Real Estate is a constant grind and hustle, you’re constantly prospecting and working on establishing your pipeline. Like many industries, it’s a word of mouth and referral based business. Most of my clients come from personal referrals and past clients. I build up relationships and staying connected within the community has been huge for me. Persistence is key and there are times where I have no deals in the works, but it’s having a positive attitude and keeping the faith, and then the business comes along when you sometimes least expect it.

Please tell us about Ashleigh Yates Real Estate Advisor.
As a real estate agent, I work with first time home buyers, investors making trades and acquisitions, sellers and assist tenants with rental properties. I work closely with an Investor and help them find out of state properties for rentals and fix/flips. I specialize in customer service and communication. I work with the number one Brokerage in Southern California, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and we have been deemed one of the most ethical companies.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have jumped into Real Estate ten years ago, I wish I had discovered it sooner, but again all the adventures I experienced lead me to where I am now.
