Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlee Levitch.
Ashlee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Working in the beauty industry, I found that the talents of the artists were not only inspiring but found they went far beyond what we experienced in the salon, in their chair. Hair and nail artists enter competitions, create avant-garde designs and participate in photoshoots pushing their level of creativity. I wanted to promote that.
Bangstyle.com is 6 years old now with hairstylists all over the world sharing their hair art, uploading their images to our website. With new articles published on the site all day every day, we get to talk to consumers and professionals about everything from hair trends, fashion week, products we love and all things style relating to hair.
Just over a year ago, we launched our second site, Nailstyle.com. Everyone is talking about nails! We love that people are exploring more intricate designs and expressing themselves with playful, modern and creative nail designs. The nail community has embraced the site and is uploading some of the most incredible Nail Art I have ever seen.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Digital is never smooth! I did not have any experience in coding or even speaking with teams that wrote code. It truly is learning a new language. I had to learn the basics and how to communicate what I wanted. Then you have to work through the bugs. It takes a level of patience, but it was a phenomenal learning experience.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Bangstyle.com and Nailstyle.com – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Bangstyle has evolved into a full-scale digital media agency. We have branched out into Social Media management for beauty brands large and small. Video production is a big part of what we do in addition to running our two websites and social accounts. We have the pleasure of producing, directing, editing, etc. videos for the haircare brands on Bangstyle.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I think we have settled into what we do best, we love digital and all the possibilities it encompasses. We look forward to growing and helping brands like Redken, Matrix, and Kevin Murphy grow.
