Today we’d like to introduce you to Asher Brown.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
If I were alive in the 1700’s, I would have built a printing press. Instead, I live in 2020, and I run a digital production studio. The idea is the same – in order to produce great videos, it helps to have an infrastructure. In my case, that’s Pollution Studios.
Our production complex has three stages, a set building shop, editing bays and a grip/lighting/camera rental house, plus a strong network of directors, producers and crew. These resources let us support content creators, brands and nonprofits as they work to tell stories that change the world.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Many of our clients are giant companies like Google, Disney and Verizon. But I think I have the most fun working with small startups like Beyond Meat (not so small anymore) and mission-focused companies like Follow Your Heart and Veggie Grill.
Currently, I’m working on a big campaign for the plant-based meal delivery service VegReady. They’re a mission aligned company, working to make healthy food accessible to everyone, and working with them ties in very closely to the advocacy work I do for nonprofits like Veganuary and Farm Sanctuary.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Pollution Studios – what should we know?
We are a content agency, producing videos, commercials and campaigns for the brands, influencers and nonprofits doing the most to change the world. Our production resources and incredible creative network set us apart, showing that if you stay true to your values and focus on doing what you love, great things will result.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate – the people with whom I work are among the best in the world at what they do. We’re here because we believe in the causes we fight for, and digital media has afforded us a platform to connect with millions of people across the planet.
