Today we’d like to introduce you to Armani Bullock.
Thanks for sharing your story with us, Armani. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I wasn’t really into rap at all, more so rock and metal. Once I got to high school, I started hanging with a group of friends that were heavily into rap and hip-hop. They all were rapping so I decided to try it out myself, eventually I got hooked on it even though I wasn’t too good, Basically, I got better and better at rapping and started networking in real life with the people from twitter and Instagram, started doing shows and making videos, naturally everything got better over time, here I am constantly evolving still.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has not been smooth at all haha, most of the struggles I’ve dealt with have been false promises, family and friends not believing in me or seeing the vision. There have been times where song drops were delayed or didn’t do as good as they were supposed to due to outside influence.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I specialize in and am known for making music, it’s just me Adot haha, the only one in the business. I’m just proud of how far I’ve came as well as the amount people that actually feel something listening to my music but I know there is more work to be done and more people to reach, I would say the thing that sets me apart the most is the lyricism that I mix with the sonics of the music.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I’m originally from Chicago so what I like most about there has to be how diverse the talent is out there for sure. The thing I like the least has to be the crabs in a bucket mentality a lot of the people there have, especially the higher-up artists that never show love.
