Meet Araks Terteryan of Belle Âme Balloons

Today we’d like to introduce you to Araks Terteryan.

Araks, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always been interested in event planning and styling. When I opened my marketing/PR agency Autour L.A. earlier this year, I was looking for unique balloons to decorate my launching event with. I looked around and I didn’t find what I was looking for. After that, I decided to try myself as a balloon stylist and designed events for my friends and family. After I received a few actual orders, my family talked me into opening my balloon studio, which I called Belle Âme Ballons – (translated from French balloons with a beautiful soul).

J’adore Les Fleurs – the luxury flower boutique, supported me a lot for the day I started, as they happen to be our family relatives. We came up with balloons and flowers together for various events, and they have been supporting and motivating me ever since.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing is ever smooth in this life. When you encounter ups and downs on your way to your goal, it means you are alive and moving forward. I faced a lot of challenges finding the right supplies and suppliers, it’s been a tough decision what type of balloons should I use and focus on, but I decided to focus on unique and stylish balloons, as that is something new and no one has been doing that so far.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Belle Âme Balloons – what should we know?
Belle Âme Balloons are known for their signature painted, confetti, and custom balloons.

What sets us apart is that we try to make any balloon arrangement unique and stylish even if we are working with a limited budget. We make all types of balloons for mini favor balloons to jumbo confetti ones and balloon arches and garlands.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I think I covered that in part 1 when I spoke about J’adore Les Fleurs. They have been a huge support for me and they have motivated me to create more signature and unique balloons.

We came up with the style of balloons, with flowers on the bottom and balloons on the top, just like the hot air balloon, with J’adore Les Fluers’ flowers on the bottom.
