Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthoni Avila.
Anthoni, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my brand Juice back in the summer of 2016 out of my friend’s house in Orange, CA. This brand is based around a streetwear type of look, such as hip-hop, but it can definitely be worn by any type of style. At first, I made it to only represent the city and county of Orange, but now it is a movement and lifestyle I try to encourage everyone to live by with my merchandise worldwide. I started off just making T-Shirts for locals around the city and old high school friends. Everyone loved them right off the bat so then thought to myself, heck why not?
From then on I just started to make T-Shirts, Beanies, Hoodies, Long Sleeves, and Hats that we now currently sell all around The LA County, Inland Empire and Orange County areas. I just recently started to take my business that much more serious back in January of this year. Prior to that time, I was only making merchandise here and there because I had not taken my business that serious yet. Social Networking really helped me out with where I am right now in the business because it has helped me promote and get my brand out there to people all over the internet such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
I’m personally an artist myself in the hip-hop industry so meeting other artists and having them wear my merchandise has helped me promote it as well. Now that I have taken it more seriously, I have been getting my name out there in the industry more and I am trying to make more connections with the right people. Such as mentors, hip-hop artists, producers, photographers, cinematographers, and public figures. In the near future, I plan on getting a store in Down Town Orange along with my website.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road, I can tell you that right off the bat. It takes time and patience with every new thing you’re first starting out with. Anything you’re doing for longevity takes time to learn. The biggest struggles I dealt with along the way were me managing my time with this business and life.
Another one was having the local support, trying to have the people in the city believe in me and trust my process. Throughout it all, I am still continuing to learn and have fun with it. That’s what makes it fun though, with no struggle or adversity there is no real award behind it.
Please tell us about Juice.
My business is called Juice, and we are a streetwear clothing company coming out of Orange County CA. Although we specialize in the streetwear/hip-hop look, we are very much versatile when it comes to the style of clothing. As of right now we currently sell T-Shirts, Long Sleeves, Sweatshirts, Beanies, and Hats. We have new designs and more merchandise coming out later in the year. We are known for that new unique style that this generation is looking for, and we are also known for our very affordable prices.
What I am most proud within this company Is how far it has come just in 2018 alone, we have had our numbers in sales increase very much and our products improve very much for the consumers liking. One trait that separates us from others is the versatility with our clothes because everything we sell is unisex. The other two traits that separate us are our outstanding customer service, and the prices we provide.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would not change one thing, I love where I am at, and where I am currently headed to.
Every decision that I have made since the summer of 2016 until now with this brand, has to lead me to where I am currently at. I am at a time in my life with the brand that I feel like it is only going to open doors for me, not close them.
