Meet Angela Salinardi of Divine Healing by Angela in Huntington Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Salinardi.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Angela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
About 18 years ago, I started learning about the benefits of whole food nutrition and how to keep the body healthy through eating the right foods and getting exercise. I learned a lot of this because I started taking Juice Plus+, as a way to get more fruits and vegetables into my body. I began to understand that food can be medicine. That is how my perception started to change. I actually signed up for a school of natural health a couple years later, but it was all online and they ended up filing bankruptcy, after I finished paying for the whole program and only took one class. At that time, I really knew nothing. I didn’t have any direction in my life and I was unsure of what kind of degree I was trying to get, but I knew that natural healing interested me.

I had a child in 2007 and felt overwhelmed with life, so I became a bit distracted and lost. I kept taking different classes in college, changing majors a handful of times, only to realize, after $40,000 of student loan debt, that something else was meant for me. As things continued, my son was diagnosed with asthma at 11 months old. I was going to a chiropractor who told me to bring him in. I saw huge benefits in my son’s breathing after an adjustment and started to think that I could heal him without the drugs that his pediatrician prescribed. I started looking for all kinds of other ways to heal because I saw something very disturbing whenever I had to resort to the asthma drugs.

At the time, I was waiting tables. Then I did sales. Finally, I worked at Trader Joe’s, trying to figure out my career path. It was a great company to work for, but I knew it wasn’t the end all, be all for me. That’s when I started praying at the altar every Sunday, for direction and guidance in my life. I wanted to do what I was meant to do in this life and I knew I wasn’t there yet. After 2 years of doing that continuously, things started to happen.

Randomly, I had 3 different people, within a few weeks, tell me I was a healer of some kind. Within the same time, I had 3 other people tell me about Healing Hands, School of Holistic Health. I decided to look into it and all the doors started opening for me. It felt like I was finally going in the right direction. I started taking classes and I felt like I was finally in the right place at the right time. Everything was fascinating. I started developing an amazing love for healing the body through massage therapy and herbal remedies. It was so fun to learn and help people heal. It was empowering! I did the Holistic Health Practitioner program and got licensed as a massage therapist with the CAMTC.

When I finished school, I started working at a chiropractic office which was about the whole body healing through diet, massage and chiropractic care.

During the year I was there, a friend asked me to share her space as well, so I started to build my private practice in Huntington Beach, CA.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Life is never even smooth the whole way. The struggle has been trying to market myself. I have never been skilled in that area. I have always been an easy going person, who just likes to do what I do without trouble or altercations. Thankfully, a couple I met at Trader Joe’s, owners of Villa Di Strategies 214, Inc., a consulting, marketing and branding company, asked me if I wanted to work with them.

Since meeting Kelly and Scott Capone, I have been able to take my business to the next level with their professional expertise.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Divine Healing by Angela – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Divine Healing by Angela is a holistic healing practice. We specialize in massage therapy and offer solutions to heal the body through diet, herbal remedies and homeopathy. As a company, I’m proud to be able to offer people empowerment to heal their bodies without drugs. As an empathetic person, I tune into my clients. I listen to where their bodies need healing. When I’m doing bodywork, my hands can feel when muscles need more nurturing or more aggressive treatment. I love what I do and it can be felt in my bodywork.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In my line of work, growing my knowledge is important. I am planning on expanding my technique to include a certification in Neuromuscular Therapy.

This, coupled with my desire to equip my clients with health and wellness through nutrition are my immediate plans.
