Today we’d like to introduce you to Andre Fruge.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Andre. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started doing photography in July of 2018. It was a month after my dad passed away so I needed a way to cope with the pain I was dealing with. I always had a thing for the visual arts, which led me to purchasing my camera. I then started to reach out to people to offer free photoshoots so I could start my portfolio. When I was away from the camera, I studied closely and read many articles on the art of portrait photography.
I soaked in all of the knowledge I could with tons of practice and patience. About a year later, I wanted to do more with my photos rather than just posting to Instagram. I was soon introduced to lightroom and Photoshop who quickly became my two best friends.
Has it been a smooth road?
It actually has been a smooth road with a few bumps here and there. From people canceling on me last minute to driving long distances for completely free. I am a very adaptable person so I managed. Determination is a trait of mine that I am forever grateful for.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Conceptual Visionary story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a photographer who specializes in outdoor portraits. My vibrant and vivid colors with a touch of creativity is what sets me apart. Being in the moment of creating my art is what I try to portray in my photos. Honestly, I am most proud of how far I have come along on this journey. Looking back at portraits from just a year ago to now really blows my mind at times.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I could see myself having a fully staffed team that can deliver services outside of photography (makeup artists, stylists, creative directors and etc.). Also having a space solely dedicated to my business.
