Meet Analise Jimenez of Train With Analise in Hacienda Heights

Today we’d like to introduce you to Analise Jimenez.

Analise, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a teenager in middle school and high school, I was always self-conscious of the way I looked. Most of my friends weren’t curvy, and I figured my thick thighs and cellulite was a negative thing about me. I did not think I was ever overweight but bullying about the way I looked from people who did not know me and even people who I called “friends” convinced me otherwise.

I started to diet and run every single day in hopes that my “thick thighs” and “fat arms” would slim down. I cut out everything I loved in order to fit into those Hollister jeans that I wanted so badly to look good in. It only took about three months for my body to start letting me know that what I was doing was unhealthy and detrimental to not only my physical health but my mental health as well. I was unhappy even as the pounds were coming off.

A few months later my dad was diagnosed with diabetes which led to even more curiosity about health and fitness. This led me to obtain my Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton. It was here that I started to realize that fitness isn’t just about having abs and a big butt. It is about being mentally fit, physiologically fit and physically fit.

I decided that I was going to start a business in the fitness industry where I can educate my clients on fitness as well as focus on training their minds, body, and souls. I wanted to create a business where I can help people of all ages, sizes and fitness levels. I want people to achieve their goals but also let them know that everybody and everybody is different and healthy. I want to inform individuals that fit takes many different forms, and there is no cookie cutter form for that.

I created Train With Analise in hopes that I can inspire others to love the “fitness” they see on Instagram, YouTube, etc. for what it is and also take into consideration what it is not, which is something that may not be real life all the time. In short, I created Train With Analise to help my clients reach their goals, educate and share all my knowledge and create lifestyles that are sustainable, healthy and real.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At the beginning of my personal training career, I hit many bumps in the road. My first training job was for a gym, and unfortunately, the experience was not as I anticipated. As a personal trainer, my first goal is to help my clients create a healthier lifestyle and become an individual they can be proud of.

However, this was not the case for the gym, as they were only concerned with chasing the money in these clients pocket. My focus was not on the money but rather on client success, so I had to leave the gym and create my own business without most of the clientele I built at the gym.

Another major obstacle that I faced along the way was how social media not only affected my business positively but also negatively. It is hard competing with social media influencers who create an aesthetic of health and fitness that isn’t sustainable in real life.

Unfortunately, these influencers are not always truthful about the way they achieve results and portray an easy way to achieve fitness goals. This affected my business negatively because possible clients would prefer to use plans that are not customized from an individual with thousands of followers than train with someone who dedicated their educational career in order to better help all types of people.

Please tell us about Train With Analise.
Train with Analise is a business dedicated to helping individuals not only reach their goals but also give them enough information to be able to sustain this lifestyle post training. I specialize in weight loss, nutritional lifestyle changes, one on one training, and weekly fitness boot camps.

Something I am proud of is the amount of people, of all ages, shapes, and sizes who I have helped to add years to their life, as well as create a new healthy lifestyle. There is a lot to be proud of about my business, but something I most cherish is the fitness family that I have created. They encourage one another and know that the competition is no one but themselves.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite memories from childhood was when I was five years old. It was a school night around dinner time, and my parents came to me and my sisters and told us all to get dressed, we were puzzled, but we didn’t ask any questions. As it turned out my parents ended up taking us on a spontaneous Disneyland trip! I’m fond of this memory because it shows me how I developed my sense of spontaneity and my love for all things Disney!
