Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Branch.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
To be honest, I wouldn’t even know where to start. I never even pictured my life on the career path that I decided to take and fell in love with. I’m from Newark New Jersey I loved to California back in 2016 as an adult lol I say as an adult because I lived here temporarily when I was younger. I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur when I had my son. I was working at the post office they were overworking me. I ended up just quitting with no plan or anything, lol. I started off selling small handbags with my company in Josiah’s bag named after my son. I named it after my son because of all the money made from that website I put towards his college fund but I just knew that wasn’t something I wanted to do. It was just quick money. So me just wanting to take a leap of faith I took a facial class and INSTANTLY fell in love with it. Doing facials was made for me. I ended up going to school for it for six months, 8 hours a day, five days a week I was determined; I knew this esthetician life was for me my business I just know Blanco Aesthetics will be bigger than I ever thought it would be and as of right now I finished school, passed my state exam with flying colors and I am a licensed esthetician. Now I can provide a great life for me and my family. Working for someone else I knew I would be miserable it was taking time away from me being with my son. I just couldn’t see myself missing all those amazing steps in his life such as first steps and first words. I’m so happy I took this leap of faith I came to California without a dollar in my pocket and now I will never have to clock in again. My business has been doing pretty well.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the struggles down the road, I would say may have been me being in school full time. I was miserable. I would distance myself from my boyfriend, my friends, and some days even my son; it was very depressing. I gain 15 pounds of stress eating everyday and drinking coffee to stay up. Starbucks should sponsor me, lol. But for the most part, I knew that I had to do this to have a secure future for me and my son. Me thinking about how it would pay off helped me to get through it and I prayed a lot. Thinking about where I came from and where I am now, I know this was my destiny.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Blanco Aesthetics?
My business is known for my relaxing facials. I’ve been told I have a feather like touch I’m comforting and almost everyone falls asleep on my table that’s how relaxed they be. I specialize in facials and corrective skincare. The thing that sets me apart from others is that I have the extended knowledge as well as I’m not afraid to go above and beyond or try things other estheticians may be afraid to try (safe of course) in order to correct that skin. I’m most proud of my brand overall because I just didn’t expect it to be doing this good. Word of mouth is really a powerful thing. I want the readers to know that I offer corrective skincare, facials, waxing, and eyebrow tinting and if they book their appointment with me, they will not be disappointed. My skincare like Blanco Aesthetics skincare will be dropping later in march. If some of you do not have time for facials, you can always get a great skincare routine for at home use so follow me on Instagram @blanco.aesthetics for updates on when I will be releasing my line.
