Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Titiriga.
Amanda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After college, I immediately started working in TV production and marketing. It was such a thrill, but it came with long hours, lots of stress and very little life balance. I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at work and enjoyed unwinding after work with my coworkers at Happy Hours. We always had a blast, but we stayed out late and I rarely got enough sleep! I worked hard and partied harder. In my late 20’s, my metabolism slowed way down, and I realized that I couldn’teat pizza and nachos every day without consequence. I had always been naturally thin, so I never thought about what I ate and rarely worked out. It got to a point where my clothes no longer fit and I was super self-conscious!
At the time, I was living in New York City and working 10-12 hours days launching a brand-new talk show. I literally had no time to workout. I was tired, stressed out, overworked, becoming unhappy and unhealthy. It started to affect every aspect of my life and I hit a breaking point. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired! I couldn’t afford a gym membership on my Production Assistant’s salary so I decided to give an online fitness bootcamp a try! Since I never knew when I would get off work, I knew I had to wake up earlier to get my workout done before work! I would move my coffee table out of the way the night before and would wake up 30 minutes earlier to get my sweat on. At first, I would get super lightheaded and have to stop. I struggled but I never gave up. I kept pushing play on my workouts every morning and slowly got stronger. I ended up losing 12 pounds in 8 weeks! I also started sleeping better, I was happier, and I had a renewed sense of confidence! I was so proud of myself! This online fitness community kept me going. They were my accountability and encouragement when no one else supported me. It was such a wonderful experience that I didn’t want to stop my morning routine so I jumped into another bootcamp challenge right away. I lost 25 pounds and have kept it off! Sounds corny but these groups changed my life. I was more productive at work and less stressed, things that used to upset me would just roll off my back.
I wanted to pay it forward, so I become a coach myself. Now I run online challenge groups to help others the way I was helped. I’ve mastered living a healthy life with a hectic schedule and now I get to help others do the same without sacrificing their social lives! I’ve partnered with Beachbody to run virtual bootcamps that include an online workout library, an app to log your workouts and track your nutrition daily, meal plans, workout calendars, and weekly goal-setting. I love being a coach. I wake up excited each day to check in on my challengers. There is something so special about helping others hit their fitness goals and feel more confident. Knowing you had a hand in changing someone’s life for the better is indescribable and incredibly fulfilling! It is also super fun to do a fitness program with a group. You get to workout when it’s convenient for you but still have that support from others!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being an online fitness coach is a side hustle for me so it’s always been fun and people have been really supportive from the beginning of my journey. I think they could tell I was genuinely excited about my own transformation and those I was coaching! I share my journey on social media in hopes of inspiring others and to show them that even a busy Marketing Manager can find time to move her body and eat right. I have opened myself up to criticism though by being so open and transparent. I think dealing with the people who don’t understand why I do what I do and say hurtful things has been my biggest struggle. I listen to a lot of podcasts and read a ton of personal development books though so I am able to take it. Also, helping others hit their health goals for big life events like weddings, birthdays and vacations is incredibly special so that goodness evens out any bad.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
Being an online fitness coach basically just means I find out my customer’s goals and help them achieve those goals. Whether that is plugging them into one of my online peer support groups or just texting them daily to make sure they stay on track. I am trained to match them with the right fitness program to fit their lifestyle, goals and ability! I provide meal plans and tips. I listen to their frustrations and celebrate their wins! I am basically just a fitness cheerleader and a really good friend! I always post recipes, workouts and inspirational quotes because they not only help me stay positive and fit, they help others who are struggling to make a positive change in their life!
Beachbody has thousands of independent coaches but what makes me stick out is what I have been able to achieve in my side hustle all while advancing in my career in Marketing at some of the top TV networks. I specialize in helping busy women who need a quick and effective workout that fits into their day and a meal plan that allows for “cheats” because they value their social life. Women like me!

Shout out to Lauren Davenport and Corey Muller! I work closely with them and our team of coaches from around the country. Like me, they work full-time jobs on top of their coaching side hustle! We run our online bootcamp challenges together. We create content and training videos together. We attend conferences and travel together (for fun and work). We push each other to hit business and financial goals. We share best practices and what’s working for our business. We call each other out and celebrate each other! I am lucky to have them in my life and my business is better because of their support.
