Meet Amanda Aviles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Aviles.

Amanda, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a native of Southern California. I grew up throughout Orange and Los Angeles County and attended Arizona State University. I received my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice & Criminology at 20years old and a secondary Associates in Paralegal Studies by 22. Following graduation, I went into the legal field and spent the better part of 10 years working in firms that specialized in contracts, bankruptcy and home modifications. Being a contract paralegal, I was able to be on the road and with my love of travel, I joined American Airlines as a flight attendant in 2014. While I am still a certified paralegal, I was ready for a new challenge and I added REALTOR to my portfolio and hung my license with Keller Williams Realty. While most get into Real Estate to merely gain monetarily, I look at Real Estate Transactions as the bridge to giving back to my community.

I joined Homes for Heroes as an Affiliate Realtor in order to do just that. I am a flight attendant with legal knowledge who assists in real estate transactions to give back to our heroes on the frontline. With COVID and so much going on in the world, I am spending my time out with a purpose behind it. I am doing a monthly #hikeforheroes. It was mainly something I was picking to do locally but as on two weeks ago, I took it on the road to St. George, Zion, Grand Canyon, Sedona and back to OC. My Grand Canyon hike was the ideal day to my cause. I hike 12.93 miles with a 15-20lb pack on around/down/backup the grand canyon. I will continue to hike for heroes as a tribute to those who are unable to and in gratitude for their service.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
About Homes for heroes: This amazing program has allowed me to be apart of amazing community events and more importantly sponsor and partake in Hero Outreach. Homes For Heroes isn’t just giving back to those in the Military (retired/active) but it is open to Fire, EMS, Educators, Law Enforcement and Healthcare Professional. As an affiliate Realtor for Homes for Heroes, I am able to not only guide you through your Real Estate Transaction but more importantly, I donate a portion of my commissions back to YOU (Buyer/Seller) & our Homes for Heroes Foundation to continue our circle of giving. The circle of giving and homes for heroes foundation are a whole other wonderful entity. We collectively donate to heroes all over the nation through our transactions and drop bys but the foundation also is responsible for taking our donated money and awarding a grant to a nominated non-profited in the sum of 5k, a different non-profit is awarded each month.

I utilize our brand to make positive marketing and sincere outreach to our local heroes. Whether it be gift baskets, lunch, baked good or merely checking in with the staff.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Continue to grow my business and keep trying to reach out to our hero communities and make them aware of our program while hiking in their honor.
