Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Williams.
Ali, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
After several years of experience performing at Disney parks and with various other companies, Ali noticed there was something different she could bring to the children’s birthday party scene – not just a person in a costume, but an experience. Over the past six years, she has built the company into one of the highest-rated and sought after character providers in Los Angeles.
They are known for beautiful and talented performers that are trained in all scenarios for that essential flexibility that is needed when entertaining children. Each party is filled with activities that entertain large groups with ease. Interactive and silly storytime with singing, magic shows, face painting, themed group games, and more. The company is always growing, listening to the needs of the families that trust them with their child’s special day. Along with birthday parties, the 45+ fairy tale, superhero, and original characters entertain at corporate events, school functions, and even on rainy day playdates. If you’re looking for something truly unique, they can bring a full week of princesses, crafts, snacks, and games in a one of a kind Princess Camp.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have been truly grateful for a smooth road ahead. Honestly, I’m sure there were some moments along the way that could have been perceived as struggles, but we don’t see them that way. Part of running a successful and growing business is to try new things, learn, and grow. In the beginning, our parties had some really unique games as we tried new things. Some worked and developed into the party hits we have today and others we decided to not try that again. Now our biggest struggle is developing a way to keep up with the demand. We purposefully keep our cast small in order to maintain quality. In the office it’s usually just me doing everything from casting and training to wig styling and party supply upkeep to marketing and scheduling. We believe the next step is to move towards automation with a lot of our customer courtesy emails like our reminders, confirmations, and follow ups. We also think it would be amazing if families could book online all in one stop and in less than 5 minutes.
Princess And Me Parties – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I truly believe that what sets us apart is our customer service. We know you didn’t make the sky open up and pour out rain on your child’s day or that you invited the latest flu to strike everyone in your home. We do everything within our power to ensure you can enjoy your child’s day knowing you’ve made the right choice in entertainment. That even means that our performers are first aid trained and background checked for ultimate peace of mind. We have a hands on touch that radiates our mission statement of connection.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
In 2019, we were contacted by a very large corporate client to create a fully original musical for their annual event in Northern California. Apparently, our reputation had traveled so far that this company trusted us with creating something truly special for them.
