Meet Alexi Turner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexi Turner.

Alexi, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My story is filled with tons of twists and turns that I turned into a book, but the brief part is that I moved to NYC when I was 18 to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology. During college I started working in the industry but felt unfulfilled and bored. I have always been more of a creative type than the corporate ladder girl I was trying to be yet wasn’t really sure if I was actually capable of doing what I wanted to, which was sing and start a creative business of my own.

A casting director stumbled upon my Facebook and casted me on a new show concept about empowering women through interviewing influential people. This was about 10 years ago before the new age idea of “finding your purpose” was cool. The producer wanted us to be more “sexy” than influential and everyone said the concept would never sell so it didn’t go anywhere but it opened up a lot of doors for me. I ended up being able to work in the entertainment industry learning the behind the scenes aspects of being in the business working for two influential singers on three world tours.

Around the same time, I experienced paralyzing health problems where I couldn’t walk and I discovered holistic medicine to overcome it. I became more spiritual and psychic, having several prophetic dreams. The first prophetic dream I had saved a good friend of mines life so I knew that this work was important to me and that I had a gift. I started to talk about spiritual topics on YouTube and teaching others through courses I developed. I have been hired by great companies like all natural skincare brand, Derma E, to work events as an intuitive guide for their customers as well.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely not! A lot of challenges along the way. Health & financial issues, heartbreaks and the stress that comes along with trying to thrive in a difficult city can be overwhelming. I have had amazing years and I have had soul-crushing years. The difficult stuff is the ingredients we need in life to create something beautiful. It is through the pain and suffering that we can savor the good times more and learn empathy we can share with others. Without difficulty, we wouldn’t understand compassion and that is one of the most beautiful character traits to have. It also helps when writing a good story or song to move others who are suffering. Without problems, our life would be mundane. It is the excitement of being the hero in our own lives that makes life interesting.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
My work specializes in helping people uncover their true nature. I start off by going over someone’s astrology chart with them and transits that are affecting their life. I go over their energetic blocks and work through past issues so they can release negativity that is preventing them from tapping into their potential. It’s essential to understand yourself and where you are going to be able to fully manifest your dreams. A life without a purpose has no soul or meaning and I think that’s what everyone craves but doesn’t know how to get there. We go through trauma or problems and can tend to recreate similar situations over and over again. I help people break their karmic deadlocks. A lot of people are also empaths and don’t know how to use their gift to its fullest potential and absorb everyone’s energy around them so they forget how to listen to their own inner voice, which then gets them into unfortunate situations.

One of my favorite courses I teach is helping women to heal from trauma and limited beliefs around relationships and men. I realized a lot of women were man-haters because of past experiences yet were desperately wanting to find love. I have helped a lot of women to change their thinking towards men and relationships and heal their shame around receiving. Women are taught to be very masculine in society and forget that the essence of a woman’s power comes from her happiness and ease with herself. We are taught if we want something we have to behave like men and this isn’t true.

I think what sets me apart from others is my versatile experience. I have such a wide range of knowledge. I like to refer myself as a renaissance woman. When people come see me I leave them with a lot of valuable information and resources to change their lives in different ways and view the world differently. I’ve had incredible experiences with clients. I think my past struggles make me relatable to others and people feel like they can open up and be themselves around me because of it.

My book is a collection of my eclectic New York memories and lessons I’ve learned and my music is an embodiment of my Venusian soul. I am mixing belly dancing with my songs so I’m really excited about that!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My big change at the moment is still getting settled into LA (I moved here a year ago) but I am hoping to feel more at home. I am also working on a plant based tincture line that I’m really excited about. My book will be publishing soon as well. It’s a very vulnerable piece of my heart that I wrote which is pretty scary to expose to the public! I hope that all of my trials and errors will inspire other young people to not be afraid to take risks. I have been in many situations where I wasn’t sure if there was going to be any light at the end of the tunnel only to be met with grace and miracles each time. Life can be scary and uncertain at times but that’s what has made my life so entertaining. I am planning to be more involved with my music in 2020 and performing in different venues so be on the lookout! 😉
