Meet Alexandria Rose of Kidz Create Music in West LA and the South Bay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandria Rose.

Owner and founder Alexandria began playing the piano when she was just two and a half years old. She then began teaching at age fourteen. Teaching throughout college taught her the importance of having a flexible college job in something she loves to do. That created the foundation upon which Kidz Create Music was built. We strive to provide a job outlet for young college students and musicians in the Los Angeles area. We know how important parents’ time is as well as the one on one connection. That is why our instructors are mobile and drive to our clients’ houses. This allows us to have a better connection with the students, making a more comfortable environment for them to learn music. We also pride ourselves in teaching our clients the classics along with simplified versions of their favorite contemporary music. We teach young kids how to be performance musicians and encourage this through performance at our bi-annual recitals. Kidz Create Music connects education with a love for music.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Creating a new business is never easy. I went to school for Italian and Theatre and also juggle an acting career. Building Kidz Create Music has truly been a business of passion and learning. I had to figure it all out as I went along. Looking back, this company has gone through many changes. From hiring instructors to revamping the recitals, and to finally digitalizing and streamlining the structure of the business, it has definitely been a road of trials and error. This has brought it all to today, in which we are a much more up to date music school. Our lessons are on a daily updated app with schedule reminders and payments are accepted through an auto pay system. We aim to make the process as easy and simplified as possible for the busy moms.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Kidz Create Music – what should we know?
We are known for having unique and engaging instructors. They are young and talented musicians who have a passion for music. Also, many current pop songs can be difficult for the little ones to learn. Therefore we will occasionally rewrite the scores to match the level of our students. This creates a bridge from education to discovering a love for music.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I would have to say a huge thank you to Keyboard Concepts. Moving to a new city is very difficult, especially when you are trying to create a musical reputation in a city overflowing with musicians. However, Jeff and Mark at Keyboard Concepts truly believed in me and my vision of a mobile music school. They have sent me numerous referrals as well as help many of my clients find the piano that was right for them. They truly helped me created a foundation for this school.
