Meet Alexandria Espinoza

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandria Espinoza. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Alexandria Espinoza is a Chicana feminist poet based in Los Angeles. She writes about love, loss, identity, motherhood, heartbreak, and growth. She has been writing since 2014, in 2017 she completed the Community Literature Initiative Poetry program held at USC. After having her first collection of poetry published, Adventure of the Unicorn, she used the proceeds to change her career and went into Real Estate. Alexandria has been in Real Estate since the summer of 2019. Her goal with writing and Real Estate is to help her community. To help others connect, to achieve goals, and to find hope in life. Alexandria’s favorite thing to do in regards with work is helping others achieve their goals and seeing the happiness each person receives with her guidance.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Being a single mother is no easy task. Self-publishing was no easy task. Starting my Real Estate business was no easy task. Every aspect of life always comes with its challenges. Fighting for sole custody of my daughter was the biggest challenge and at the beginning of 2021, I was granted sole custody of my beautiful daughter. Writing poetry is never easy, especially when you are opening up and being your most vulnerable self – and the trauma of being in an abusive relationship and a survivor of domestic abuse. Running any business, there are always struggles, always ups and downs. It’s the going up I enjoy the most. The working for others and helping is what makes everything seem worth all the trouble. I am a kinetic person, I show my love through actions. I do my best to live a life rooted in love. While holding space for others and allowing them to be themselves. So while sometimes life feels like it’s on fire and everything is burning, as long as I am making the effort to help better others, it all seems worth it. I want to help others feel seen with my writing. I want others to feel safe and secure with finding a home. I want people to know that I am their safe space because I know what it’s like to feel unsafe. I know what it’s like to feel unseen, unheard, and unloved. And for the rest of my life, I want to make sure whatever I do in life, it’s to make others feel safe and loved.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a Realtor, I do my best to make sure my clients find a home that is right for them. Real Estate is a big industry that sometimes can seem overwhelming, it is one of the most significant purchases one can make in their lifetime. With so much information out there, I want to be a source of information and not just any information off the internet. I like data and I do my best to give all the information I have to those I serve. I treat every client as if they are family. I want what’s best for my family and always want to make sure their needs, wants, and desires are heard. My goal is to help make the home buying process as easy and understandable as possible. It will of course be stressful, but I will be there every step of the way. If it’s sending a budget spreadsheet to checking in on you to make sure you’re staying on your tasks to get to the ultimate goal of buying a home, I am there every step of the way. I also send out biweekly market updates to keep clients informed about what the market is actually like, the activity, the demand, and where the market is heading towards.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love almost everything about Los Angeles, there is a magic that cloaks the county. Every city has its charm and character and there is always something new. It could be the busy city or the calm suburbs but there is family and friends all over. The one thing I dislike the least would be traffic, constantly showing homes you sit in a lot of traffic, but I make the best of it when there is some good music on and dance the time away.
