Meet Alex Trampus of Paige Grae Shop in Burbank

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Trampus.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started working on the shop in June of 2017 (launched in August) after I resigned from my marketing position at a well-known entertainment studio. I was in search of more balanced life. My spark of inspiration began while I was on maternity leave with my second child. I spent so much time shopping online for my kids and always felt like I was settling for styles that were cheaply made and available across many sites. Once I left my corporate job, I realized what I could bring to the table and Paige Grae was born! I’ve always loved fashion and design and now I have the opportunity to work with so many talented designers and feature them all on my shop.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I feel like at every stage of the process, there has been at least one large challenge to face. The current struggle is managing work and family time, which is especially difficult being that I work from home. I don’t have a set schedule so many times I find myself working into the night or very early in the morning just so I can have some undisturbed quiet time to focus.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Paige Grae Shop – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Paige Grae is an online kids’ clothing shop that specializes in pieces that are unique and designed by inspirational people from all over the country. The style is traditional but with a playful edge and every piece is handpicked by me. I like to support designers that are also moms and prefer quality clothing that is made in the USA. I’m most proud of the growth I’ve experienced over such a short amount of time and I am so grateful to my close friends and family that have helped along the way.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I have a few exciting plans in the pipeline for Paige Grae. Currently, I am prepping to have a few pop-ups so customers can actually see the products first hand. I think it’s important for Paige Grae to have a real-life presence in addition to the online storefront. So that is definitely something I am focusing on for the rest of this year.
