Meet Alejandro Chavez of Analigital in The Valley/ North East Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alejandro Chavez.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started in Aztlan, which was located in the old 19th st. jail in Lincoln Heights in the mid-late 90’s. This was my introduction to the underground art scene, Chicano art, graffiti, and so many creative avenues. This was where the seeds of artistry took hold in my mind and soul.

As a young kid, probably around 4-5 years old, I was exposed to many different expressions of art and languages of revolution. The purpose of Aztlan was to create a safe haven for troubled youth and local kids to have a place to learn the creative process and to educate them so they would not get involved with gangs which were at the height in Los Angeles. Fast forward to my current time, if it weren’t for that experience, I don’t know if I would be involved in art and activism as I am today. Analigital, a family-owned creative services company, had a lot of its influence stem from that same experience too. Through this collective of artists, Analigital was able to create a brand; hyper-focused on originality, authenticity and the art of storytelling. Currently, Analigital is focused on raising the collective consciousness and changing our narrative to one that fits and benefits all of humanity. My role in all of this has been to further my creative skills and expression to help heal, uplift communities, and inspire truth using the creative process to benefit our collective experience with love.

Has it been a smooth road?
The experience has been overall positive. All of the struggles have been blessings and lessons, challenging us to be better. Some challenges were internal disputes, but through those disputes; it leads us to higher realms of understanding and also lead us to create for a more noble cause.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Analigital – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
My favorite part of the North East LA (NELA) Valley is the thriving Latino Chicano culture. There is so much appreciation for our people and the past, the heroes and stories that have brought us to this current timeline. I try my best not to focus on things I dislike, rather focus on how I could make things better.
