Meet Adrienne Cooper of Ageless Massage

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Cooper.

Adrienne, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Bodywork has been something I’ve always been interested in. After years of being a group fitness instructor at several gyms in NYC, I decided to go back to school to get my degree in Health Sciences to become a massage therapist. After I finished school, I was still hungry to learn more, a year-and-a-half later, I became a certified lymphedema therapist and pre and post-natal therapist.

After practicing in New York for a few years, I moved to Los Angeles to focus on therapeutic bodywork on a full-time basis in an in-home or corporate setting.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been several potholes in the road. In 2016, I was diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases which made life very difficult at times. There were weeks that I could not physically work at all. Fortunately, I’ve been in remission since November 2019 and on my way to better health.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Ageless Massage – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Ageless Massage is a mobile therapeutic bodywork business. I offer in-home and corporate sessions along with parties, (birthdays, bridal showers, divorce parties, etc.)

I specialize in Swedish, deep tissue, lymphedema therapy, cupping, pre & post-natal, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, fascial stretch therapy, percussion massage, sports massage, Thai reflexology, and chair massage.

One thing that sets me apart from others is that all sessions are customized to include one or multiple modalities according to your needs without charging you extra.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In the future, I plan on having couples massage classes. These classes will show couples how to give their partners safe, effective, and fun full-body massages while learning new ways to communicate with their partners through touch.
