Meet Adrian White of Adrian White Photography in Midcity

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian White.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Adrian. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My photographic story started in the U.S. Navy. I was a photojournalist and television broadcaster for more than 10 years. One of the most memorable events during my military time was my ship’s response to the earthquake in Haiti. After leaving the U.S. Navy I decided to further my education at Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, CA. I finished top of my class in 2016 and I’m now pursuing my Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from Parsons School of Design in New York.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve more been focused on education more than anything recently. I do side jobs when I get the time but my main focus is improving my craft as much as possible.

Adrian White Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I specialize in portraiture and street photography. People come to me when they want a personal touch. I’d like to think that my portraits convey a sense of emotion. I always try to insert punctum in my images.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I’ve had quite a few moments. Some of the most significant moments would be graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography and getting in to Parsons School of Design for my Masters. I also won an honorable mention in 2016 for International Photographers Award.
