Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Whitecash.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I grew up in Germany mostly, and I am a trained plumbing technician now living in downtown Los Angeles (bordering Chinatown and Dodger Stadium). I use recycled material primarily and build my own frames with wood from the local Home Depot.
Please tell us about your art.
I like to solve problems. Take a stain or a spill or a used palette or paint rag and do something to it as necessary to make it work formally…as art.
As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
A successful artist is one who is honest and unafraid in their approach to their work. Sincerity will be manifest in the art.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My work can be seen on Instagram @adamwhitecash or in person at Sperone Westwater NYC and a little Facebook, too and I will have a surprise appearance at Basel Art Fair/Miami this December.
