Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Mendoza.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in a small, tight knit community/neighborhood in North East Los Angeles. Suffice it to say, I didn’t have an easy upbringing and my outlook on life was a very ugly one. When I look back at my past mindset all I can think is…wow I’m so thankful that the chance was given me to make a change and see life in a different light. Making the decision to become and Actor truly changed my life. I feel so at home in my new career and so blessed to be around such high energy, positive minded people. Two lives have been lived by one person, in my old life I hated everything that I’ve now grown to love. In this new life there is a strong feeling that I’m obligated to help others live their happiest life possible. I love stirring people’s emotions, make them laugh, make them cry, make them feel!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I’ve faced some serious challenges in life and now I see that all of them were worth the struggle, the challenges helped to mold me and show me the depths of depression and the triumph of victory. Changing my own mind was the biggest challenge. To this day I battle an inferiority complex, some days I win some days I lose but I never give up the fight. Positive mind, positive life.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Adam Mendoza, Film & Television Actor – what should we know?
I am an Actor, in every sense of the word. I specialize in making a story come to life! Mostly I’m known for playing the “bad guy” as I suppose, in a way, I used to be one and now it feels great when I’m given the opportunity to play the role of a good guy or the goofy guy making people laugh.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My sister and fellow Actor Liana Mendoza encouraged and mentored me, she always refused to give up on me. My acting coach Bobby Chance definitely deserves credit for teaching me and seeing me as a viable talent. The family and friends that have been so supportive in my lifestyle change and career path cannot be forgotten either, they never laughed at me when sharing my life goals. The writer and producer Andy Rodriguez who took the chance on me as a budding actor, allowing me to play a major role in his feature film. Ramon Vincent and Gayle Blanks with Splitpoint productions deserve huge thanks for seeing and helping bring out my funny side.
