Meet Aaron Slotkin of Holistic Nutrition by Aaron in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Slotkin.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Aaron. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
While in pharmacy school, I was exposed to multiple modalities of natural medicine while working at a natural pharmacy. In 2011, I became a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist upon completion of the required reading, lectures and subsequent examination. Upon moving from New Jersey to California, I started my holistic nutrition practice. I have seen numerous clients suffering with various health problems in the past 4years. Using a holistic approach of customized diet and lifestyle interventions, targeted supplements, and laboratory testing, I have been very successful helping clients achieve their optimal weight and health. My current focus is the science of using nutrition to support brain health.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has been a curvy one. Lots of obstacles and setbacks. However, I try to view any difficulty or “failure” as a learning experience.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I’m a board Certified Clinical Nutritionist and Pharmacist with affordable pricing and friendly service. I serve the Los Angeles county area.

As a holistic nutritionist, I want to find out what is really going on with my client’s metabolism and provide them with answers aimed at improving their weight and health in a convenient way using the latest evidence in nutritional science. I do not want to provide just another generalized diet to follow.

My focus is on weight management using various programs suited for the individual, such as my Custom Metabolic Program.

My other focus is optimizing brain health with nutrition. Some examples are a declining memory, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. I also have experience and enjoy helping people with hormone imbalances.

As an option for my clients, I provide testing such as functional blood chemistry analysis. A functional analysis means looking at a blood panel with the goal of achieving wellness and not just screening for a disease. I prefer this to guide my nutritional and supplement recommendations.

What were you like growing up?
I was a good kid and I liked to play outside with friends – one of my favorite past times. And I’m thankful I lived in a neighborhood that allowed for that.

I’m a mellow personality but I have a strong work ethic. I take things or a situation easy and try not to stress on the little details.

I’m interested in science, nutritional science (of course), and shows / books on science fiction and fantasy.
