Life & Work with Tomer Peretz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tomer Peretz.

Hi Tomer, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Painter and conceptual artist. Been doing art since I was a teenager, started professionally at the age of 23, right when I moved from Israel to Los Angeles on 2005 and since then doing art. Been in the underground scene of LA for a while and this is where my main work is surrounding at. I mostly create about people and society challenges, I create mostly about the dark side in humans, about the empty part of the glass.

Currently represented by Fabbrica Eos Milano Italia, Working and showing in Down Town Los Angeles. I’m very inspired by the WEB3 world, created an NFT and recently collaborated with Val Kilmer on Superrare.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Hell no, it’s still not smooth, very hard work, the struggle is everywhere, sometimes with inspiration, technic, subjects, everything you can think of. Hahaha You don’t choose to be an artist, the art chose you, smooth road is not part of the process.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a painter, mostly figurative and portraits. Known for my art exhibitions and immersive experiences, I create my own shows in Los Angeles that usually incorporate Performance art and collaborations with other artists. Art performance is a big part of my creation. Creating NFT / Crypto Art in the past year, I love the technology and the entire idea behind it, I really think it’s a great tool for creators. I’m all about WEB3 and the community around it.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Oh yeah, thank you shoutout to: Lital Peretz, Giancarlo Pedrazzini, Guy Shifer, B.creative, Ore Dagan, Rotem Fahima and Art Snitch. Lately, these people were around my work a lot.
