Life & Work with Michelle Kuhnreich

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Kuhnreich.

Hi Michelle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
n a nutshell -moved to the west coast when I was 19, I craved the ocean, nature, and new adventures. I also have always loved the mind, movement, and people. I got certified as a personal trainer for fun (yes lol) when I was 17). I truly believe the mind and body go hand in hand. I have always wanted to create a workout class where people can feel empowered, sexy, string, and connected to their body and themselves. I began working at a corporate gym, building up my clients, while I was still in university. I quit after 2 years; my clients followed me to another space close by that I was renting from. I then began to go to their homes, and word of mouth picked up and referrals kept coming in! I started going on social media for fun, just posting little things about my daily movements, journal writings, and just really keeping it authentic and true to who I am. I want my social media to be a place to encourage others to be their authentic selves. in 2018 I began a class called The A.S.S CLASS (yes, a class for your a*s but – stand for ABSOLUTELY, SLEEK AND SOLID). IT BEGAN SO POPULAR. we use resistance bands; we flow to awesome music and just – move consciously while building an insane feel-good burn in your body. I always say – everything physical is just a bonus. in 2020 when covid took place, I knew it was the time to bring it online (I always wanted to have an online platform) to reach as many people as I can with my workouts to build community! I now train my clients online and they live all over the world, I just followed my heart and it lead me here… passion and happiness – sounds cheesy but you just gotta go for it.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
HELL NO. it if was smooth I wouldn’t be challenged and learning different things every day! YOU HAVE TO HUSTLE- HARD- DAILY. I have so many ups and down but I just know that I love what I do, and if I keep working hard and being me, it will create the most joy for me and my clients, which in turn will attract other to come and want to workout with me in the BOOTYBYMICH COMMUNITY. it’s a grind, I’m self-employed, and sometimes I have no idea what I’m doing. on social media I see some account make it look their journey is perfect, the perfect setup and life and all that – no no no. its hard- but I just gotta know that if I love what I do, I’ll always be successful because I’ll be happy. again- cheesy but true. sometimes my thoughts get the best of me, I can be so hard on myself- but I’m human and we all are and I just ride the wave. It’s normal. you just gotta keep moving forward.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Certified Personal Trainer, Owner of, and the creator of The A.S.S CLASS. I specialize in movement, and online/ home fitness training.

I am known for The A.S.S CLASS, and BOOTYBYMICH (my Instagram). A booty workout with bands, bodyweight movements, awesome music, and hard AF sequences.

I am most proud of, the community that is building online and for my in personal classes too.

people moving together and having a sense of togetherness even though the digital world means a lot to me.

I am also most proud/ what I think sets me apart is teaching other to LOVE THEMSELVES, while they move on their mat, I teach inside out health and wellness. How I film my workout videos are raw and unedited of me teaching and working out- ITS REAL LIFE!

My Instagram / online platform had journal prompts/ how I speak and what I remind other is true self-love, when we feel good, we want to take more time for ourself to be our best – I encourage authenticity and rawness.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
1. patience 2. everything is happening as it should be.
