Today we’d like to introduce you to Katelynne Donoghue.
Hi Katelynne, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
From protecting your life to protecting your assets, the most valuable things deserve the best care. Once a nurse, and now a real estate agent, my desire has always been to help people.
Born and raised in Sacramento, then eventually laying roots and creating my life in San Diego, I am a California girl through and through. My parents always told me that the key to winning the day was to make at least one new friend. This was an easy task, as I was born with the gift of gab. My people skills quickly emerged through this daily endeavor and led me to pursue a career in saving lives.
I graduated from nursing school and worked my way from caring for the aging population to caring for children with special needs. I continued my work in pediatrics after moving to San Diego in 2016, and though all the cute faces brought me immense joy each day, I knew there was more in store for my life. As the usual story goes, I was burnt out, underpaid, overworked, under appreciated. So I took the leap. I knew I wanted to work for myself so that I could make time to enjoy my life while still helping people.
Real Estate has always been an interest of mine, but the demands of nursing kept me from exploring my options. When I finally mustered up the strength to go part-time, I began flirting with all of my opportunities and eventually landed right at home: selling houses.
Today, I delight in the fact that in my business, clients become friends. My priorities stay the same, whether in personal life or in business. Communication, transparency, and client advocacy are the pillars of my work. I specialize in making the home buying and home selling process as smooth and peaceful as possible.
When I’m not protecting your assets, you can find me enjoying luxury cars with my beloved and discovering the hottest restaurants in town. As a firm believer that health is the ultimate wealth in this life, I enjoy each morning in the gym and am dedicated to a plant-based lifestyle. I also enjoy giving back to the community by volunteering with Special Olympics and spending time at animal sanctuaries. I believe we are the creator of our own reality and we can achieve anything we desire, so I relish in making everyone’s dream home a reality. “Kindness is the ultimate strength of our society” (Gary Vee).
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, there were struggles. Owning your own business illuminates every part of who you are and requires serious personal responsibility and development. Healing old wounds and revising beliefs around money and worthiness were the first and most important parts of my journey.
There was also the great lesson of patience and surrender that came when relying on a state department for legal documents while backed up due to the pandemic.
And now that I read these words, I realize how much I have grown by noticing that I don’t truly see these as ‘struggles’. I can go on for hours about all the adversity I have encountered in my life thus far, but I don’t want to because I decided things get to be easy, things get to work out. I have created enough ‘struggle’ in my life already because I thought it was required. But it’s not. It gets to be whatever we decide.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Realtor with Keller Williams Carlsbad and an agent with The Harrington Group Real Estate. We do residential transactions all across San Diego County. I work mainly in the Central San Diego area, and I specialize in relocations. Our mission is to redefine the real estate experience so that everyone can achieve the luxury lifestyle.
My dedication to each client sets me apart in the real estate world. I prioritize communication and transparency, and everything I do is with your best interest in mind so that at the close of the transaction, we have established a lifelong friendship.

My favorite way to collaborate is to support other businesses. I love to collaborate via social media to bring more eyes to local/small businesses. I also do giveaways at local events. When our team has a booth at an event, we giveaway products and gift cards to attendees and we would love to feature your brand!
