Life & Work with Javari Newton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Javari Newton.

Hi Javari, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Right after High School, I went to the military and became a cook and worked for six years thinking that’s what I wanted to do. When I got out of the military, I had a couple of restaurant jobs that didn’t fulfill me in the least bit. When 2020 came around and the Pandemic hit, I got laid off for the first time and I didn’t like that feeling, so I went out and bought a couple of microphones and an audio board. I started recording conversations with my friends and I, which turned into me interviewing local artists & entrepreneurs in MY city (Las Vegas). This has now turned into me hosting events, promoting artists, podcasting, putting on shows, making videos and creating more content for people in my city.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
– Finding a studio space outside of my home

-finding a venue that would accommodate Hip Hop music.

– Putting together a team that’s on the same page.

– Finding backers to help with the projects.

– Finding talent I feel deserves the spotlight in Vegas.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Podcaster at the moment, but I am also a small business owner. I work with Producers, Artist, Videographers and Photographers in a small media company You Know What It Is LLC. We provide a space for artists and creatives to come and work. We provide studio time, audio/video recording for podcast, and sets for the podcasts. We also have a team of editors and engineers to make your quality of your project stand out. We offer competitive prices and a fun working environment, we have a lot of amazing artists that visit our studio so you may run into someone you’ve always wanted to work with.

What does success mean to you?
Success is achieving the goals I’ve set for myself, and watching myself surpass them.
