Life & Work with Victor Onyejekwe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Onyejekwe.

Hi Victor, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m known as HCamrone when writing and HCamrone Beats when producing. I’m a citizen of Nigeria. I have always loved music since I was a kid. Back in Nigeria, after arriving home from elementary school everyday then, I was fond of drumming on sets of paint buckets. I began making beats when I was aged 14 under my elder brother’s label ‘Soft Sly Men Music Group.’ After making loads of beat kits, the label dropped my first ever beat, “Piano Love,” on my 19th birthday. Amidst making music, I also love writing as well. I started blogging in 2017 after creating my stage name-titled WordPress blog, “HCamrone’s Blog”. My biggest post off the blog was when I wrote an article on WizKid’s Endorsement Deals, it garnered over 17,000+ clicks in a day and 26,000+ in 2days. Also, I’m an esteemed writer of Gordon-based magazine ‘Now Entertainment’. Back to my musical career, after releasing ‘Piano Love’, my next instrumental was ‘Whoop That Bottle’. Since its release, Whoop That Bottle has a total of 10,000 streams and counting.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Financially wise, economically, health-wise; it’s been a rough one.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m known for being a writer, music producer, sound engineer (mixer), blogger, music personnel, social media manager, artist (art) and a former photographer. What really stands me out from others is because I have a special way of making things enjoyable to the eyes and ears of the public.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In music, I think the evolution of young and upcoming talented voices in the industry will give way to stardom in years to come. In writing, in years to come, I believe original content and article writing will become logical and consistent.
