Life & Work with K-Victoria

Today we’d like to introduce you to K-Victoria.

Hi K-Victoria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in the U.S. Virgin Islands. My Artistic influence has been inspired by an array of artists mainly Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, and Buju Banton. My creative expression is multifaceted and often likened to a stream of artists from Beyoncé to India Arie. Blending Caribbean sounds, and pop melodies, I have been able to develop a signature sound I call “Caribbean Pop” and aspire to create musical projects in different genres including reggae, hip hop, and soul. I am a free-spirited artist and traveled to Los Angeles to expand my creative endeavors.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My main obstacle was just wanting to be a perfectionist. I would want to wait until everything was perfect. But I’ve been trying things a little different lately.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

Since then, she continued to pursue her music career internationally as an independent artist and has been featured on the official Vevo R&B Playlist, alongside Chris Brown, Ciara, Ravaugn and The Weeknd. K-VICTORIA has also opened up for international acts such as Wyclef Jean, Gyptian, Lady Saw, Shabba Ranks and Seinfield (the comedian). She also landed number one (#1) on Tempo Networks Cross Caribbean Countdown for three weeks in a row. K-VICTORIA is leveraging her music brand to pioneer a subsidiary apparel merchandise streetwear & culture brand called Mind-Life-Guap. Go to for a breath of what truly inspires K-VICTORIA, her music and apparel products line. “Mind-Life-Guap is a culture brand,”

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’ve always been a risk-taker, diving into opportunities, sometimes unconventionally, mostly when I feel inspired by my faith and surrendering to the process. It’s a very challenging thing to do I feel, but it has developed in me an uncanny internal muscle that is mysterious–especially because I feel as though I was born to lead.
