Today we’d like to introduce you to Caylie Rae Kalmbach.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It’s hard to pinpoint where exactly my journey in Spiritual Healing & Coaching began since I’m of the spirit that all of this, even the messy bits, are part of the same beautiful thing! If I had to pick the most magical moment, the true beginning, it was in the fall of 2017 when I left my beloved Los Angeles to cozy back up in Colorado for real, gritty heart exploration. For the three years prior, I pursued an on-and-off love affair with acting in the heart of Hollywood. It wasn’t until that third year that I noticed myself lost in a scattered chase, one that felt empty of direction, of meaning, of inspiration and joy. I knew I wanted to be seen, to share myself, to inspire others to embrace completely, wholly, everything they are. I knew in my gut, that I needed to embody that first. After detaching from the city, I dove deep into my creativity, uncovered my heart’s true calling as a creative storyteller, and found my authentic vision to inspire others to live whole and creatively inspired lives. Fast-forward a year and a half and I’m back in LA doing exactly that.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Throughout it all, I have known one thing for certain: everything that comes forth is for my greatest good. There is no punishment for existing the way I choose, nothing I do or say that is true to my spirit can be wrong. I learned early on in this heart journey to fully embrace what felt good and to lean into the rough spots that showed up as mirrors. I learned to welcome my difficult feelings and dive deep into my fears. This journey has been wildly rocky, incredibly isolating at times, but it has also been one bathed in Love. Each time I felt utterly shaken, I came out of it seemingly unscathed because my capacity to love expanded deeper to my core. In truth, these challenges allowed me to release what was not made to withstand pain and to deeper comprehend what was. To any young women starting their journey of heart: you are everything. Each step is exactly right and exactly timed. When things slip out of your grasp or you’re forced to let go, remember that who you are will always be yours.
Please tell us about Call Back to Love.
I have the best job in the world! I help guide people back to their hearts, teaching lovers from all over the country how to embody their creative power and align it with their core desires. I lead these beautiful souls into rediscovering their capacity to love deeply, and boy, do they love deeply! My program Call Back to Love is a 28-day course centered around four weeks of Compassion Coaching. I am a Spiritual Coach with an emphasis on self-compassion and love, creative expression and joy. This is the opposite of self-help– it is an act of acceptance and embrace. Call Back to Love is an embodiment practice in which compassion is integrated into daily life through readings, meditations, rituals, and creative expression. At the heart of my work, I show up as support to help others uncover and recover their most raw and whole selves, all with actions of love. It is in this place of total acceptance that we then work on creative visualization, manifesting what I call the inner Treasures–the expansive dreams that have been placed lovingly on the heart and beg to be brought into the world by you.
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
While I have experienced deep healing with my family as an adult, I did have a very troubled upbringing. I experienced a lonely childhood and witnessed an incredibly painful dynamic between my parents. It was in my observation of their relationship, however, that I began exploring my own definition of Love. I learned creative coping tools in those moments of utter isolation and found my most authentic voice through artistic play. Having gone through heavy bouts of depression in high school and college, I became well-versed in feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness, self-loathing and shame–all of which has informed my writing and my work as a compassion coach. The bounty of life, I have found, lies in the valleys and the beauty of life lies in returning back Home.
