Life & Work with Annie Walton-Teter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Annie Walton-Teter.

Dunya Merell Djordjevic and Annie Walton-Teter met through The Foundation for Living Beauty retreat in Montecito, California in October of 2013. As we are both cancer survivors. Together we walked along lavender fields and grand edible gardens discussing our lives and what matters. In our quest for optimum health, nutrition and our shared lively passion for gardening, this collaboration evolved.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In 2018, I nearly lost my life racing sailboats. After neurosurgery, rehab 40 hours a week for eight months. I am thankfully so much better. In 2017, Dunya and I installed a lovely fruit and vegetable garden for a client in Brentwood. She was delighted! Then in 2019, Dunya pivoted and began as a distributor for Tower gardens and Juice Plus supplements. The benefits research is solid and I was happy to join her lead. Now with Covid19, we are still doing our beautiful tower gardens at our own homes and seeking people who may like to try our products or to join our team. Thankfully it’s up to you, you can do this as a side business or your main source of income.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
By the grace of God, I was also blessed with having two of my Children’s books. (I had written before the boating accident) published under my first and middle name Ann Myra 1) Annabel on the Ground 2) Annabel on the Sea both are for kids ages 3-7. As Ann Myra, I am also a singer-songwriter and staunch supporter of our planet and its biodiverse inhabitants. Looking forward to making a second album in 2021.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Cathy Heller and Sheri Salata both deserve credit. As well as my amazing partner in My Little Organic Garden, Dunya Merell Djordjevic.
