Today we’d like to introduce you to Syed Khurrum.

Hi Syed, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Starting my career at the end of 2017, full of ambition, ready to take on the world. My first expectation was that buyers and sellers were going to start falling from the sky, the moment I uploaded to social media I am a realtor. Well, unlike the shows, it was not quite how it worked! I realized quickly if I wanted to succeed in this career, I need to learn the ropes and needed to do that quickly. I attempted to go solo at the beginning and hit the wall hard, knowing I had to create a new plan, I began to shadow an agent who has been in the industry for 15 years at that point. I became the rental guy to him, all clients that wanted to rent, he sent to me, and with some luck, I was able to begin hosting their open houses. As I paid the bills with the free rental leads I was receiving, the open house tactic of pulling buyers taught me how to speak to potential clients, and was lucky enough to have earned a few buyers from this method. I built up a clientele from word of mouth, social media, and saying yes to any odd opportunity. Fast forward, to today, I have had the honor to be on track for closing $25 million in real estate this year. Growing into this career was not an overnight success, but a constant effort and adaption to keep up with the market and allowed me to help countless families and investors with all their real estate needs.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I learned very quickly in my career, that if you want to be successful in any sales position, the road isn’t smooth but it’s how you take the bumps on the road that determines your success. I learned in 2017 that buyers and sellers are not always ready to trust a new agent with one of their biggest purchases or sales unless you have the confidence to let them know you can take care of them.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Since 2017, I have been able to experience the real estate market in LA and Orange County shift and adapt. I will be the realtor who will not stop fighting for my clients whether it’s their first purchase or fifth sale. I have learned and grown to know that in 2022 a buyer or seller can come from anywhere! Taking people who make their living in the Crypto and NFT world in today’s day and age is important because that industry is just beginning! I specialize in luxury homes in the hills, to multi-million dollar beach homes. I am proud that I have been able to create a brand of Realtor Khurrum, that had a humble beginning in 2017 to now being able to confidently help buyers and sellers with multi-million dollar transactions, that all begin with a kid who grew up in the valley not accepting I cannot make a mark in this world. If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I feel my creativity and charisma are such important characteristics of mine that have gotten me to where I am. I learned that if you do what everyone does, you will blend in, you will need to be able to adapt quickly. Be ready to adapt from eating some amazing tacos off a street stand with a Crypto Millionaire then driving to Javier’s to eat who expects a suit and tie. let each of your clients know that they care and you will provide the same service. Lastly being genuine, don’t feel you are “too good” for anything, you don’t know where life is going to take you, just keep pushing forward.
