Inspiring Conversations with Paolo Galli of Madestrategy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paolo Galli. 

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The beginning of my career was inside big brands like Timberland before, Giorgio Armani, and other global brands, thanks to which I learned about the fashion markets in the world. Then, the meeting with some of my current partners has me driven to try to develop solutions similar to those of large luxury fashion brands but oriented to emerging brands and small businesses that struggle to find the right path. 

We started working from abroad creating connections from Europe to the US, but that was not enough…we needed something more effective and ten years ago the first hub born before in NYC, and following we moved to LA. 

This is the way MADESTRATEGY LLC born. 

Now we work on several markets in the world both on advisory, production, and fashion event management, and we are specializing in sustainable fashion, eco, and vegan materials. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not smooth at all. We changed several times. 

We learnt a lot from mistakes and difficulties. 

Connect markets and countries is never easy and there’s a lot of things that get in the way…differences in culture, customs and system are often much greater than we think and above all we must be wary of competitors who sell wrong solutions 

We’ve been impressed with Madestrategy LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Madestrategy is a fashion Hub made up of a group of American and Italian professionals all from long experience gained in large global brands. 

It is based in Los Angeles, but the operational network is in Italy. 

Madestrategy basically operates in two ways: 

The first is what we were born for. the organization of presentation events, fashion shows, trunk shows, and pop-ups, designed for emerging brands and interesting products. 

Today we are specializing in sustainable fashion, and we collaborate with the most important certification and development bodies of sustainable fashion. 

The next event will be in Paris in March and, as usual at the Cannes Film Festival in May 

The second is made in Italy assistance and production for American, Australian, Canadian brands, etc. that want to improve their quality, have solutions similar to those of the great luxury brands, obtain serious product management but do not yet have the structure to achieve all this in a traditional way 

Madestrategy has a network of over 20 manufacturing partners, highly experienced pattermakers from luxury brands, and the best material suppliers in Europe. This allows us to provide the emerging brand with a service that is almost impossible to find or very difficult to build individually
