Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph Abitol.

Hi Joseph, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up in Canada where my Grandfather was a big jeweler in the community. As a kid, I was always fascinated by Diamonds and Jewelry and wanted to pursue that career. Since I was 14, I have been selling jewelry on various online platforms and stores even before owning my own business.

My biggest passion was for timeless diamond jewelry which are items that never go out of style, such as Diamond Tennis Bracelets, Eternity Bands, Tennis Necklaces, and Diamond Studs. I remember when my grandmother gifted my mom her Tennis Bracelet when I was a kid and it was very touching to see how Diamond Jewelry of this nature is so easy to pass along without it going out of style and being something to forever cherish. This is the main reason I opened a company that only carries timeless diamond jewelry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I started, I was so young and naive and really was facing a lot of so-called “sharks” in the business so I had so much to learn from. In the Diamond business, you will typically see a lot of older people since it’s a business that requires a lot of trust and capital. My grandfather was the real role model and he helped me gain a great reputation in the business. Until I got established, it was not an easy journey getting trust and credit in the business and many times, I would personally lose money on deals to prove myself to my partners.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are based in Downtown Los Angeles’s Jewelry District and are opening a store in Miami, Florida. We manufacture everything in the US and take pride in staying focused on only timeless jewelry.

I am so proud to have been able to own a business like this in such a tough industry at such a young age and know that I really am helping people with a very sentimental purchase.

Since I was introduced to this business with a grandfather who was a diamond Manufacturer, I got the proper leverage and support needed to be able to Price Beat any jeweler in the US knowing that I will always be on top with price. Which ultimately was my goal: to make Diamond Jewelry affordable to people to help pass on legacies through their diamond jewelry.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters to me most is that my customers can trust me and my business to help them find a diamond or piece of jewelry at a very affordable rate. I believe since so many jewelers are popping up in the industry now, it helped regulate diamond prices being that customers now have a wide selection of where to shop.

I always take pride in being the cheapest in my industry no matter what item, so long as it’s a timeless diamond jewelry piece.
