Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy Dulman. Him and his team share his story with us below:
Coming from San Francisco, Andy moved down to Los Angeles for USC Film School and has been a TV Commercial Director ever since. Right before COVID started, he found himself really missing the experience of working and helping people on a more direct level. He’s always been in love with architecture and home design so he decided to finally jump into real estate. He fell in love right away. Between changing people’s lives, visiting beautiful homes on a daily basis, flexing my advertising muscles, and negotiating great deals – he had found a really special way to make an impact. To his pleasant surprise, Andy discovered he was also really good at it! In his first year alone, he sold 20 million dollars of real estate, helped 34 amazing clients, had a 100% list-to-sell ratio, was featured in the Los Angeles Times as “Rookie of the Year” for Southern California, and was selected to win the “Rising Star Award” from the California Association of Realtors. He’s most proud of how happy he was able to make his clients during one of the most competitive markets in Los Angeles history. He started his real estate career at Sotheby’s International Realty in the Pacific Palisades and just recently joined the Beverly Hills office at Compass. Andy is so grateful for all the amazing relationships he’s developed and all the success he’s brought to so many deserving people. His business is continuing to flourish and he has so much to look forward to!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I was part of the last group of people to take the Real Estate Licensing exam before COVID shut everything down – so I definitely joined this industry at a crazy time. It was a challenge navigating during these uncertain times but I found that providing honesty, transparency, education, integrity, and an enjoyable experience allowed my clients to get the results they needed in a way that helped ease a lot of the anxiety during this bizarre time in history. Finding opportunity in every challenge is something I’ve always taken pride in. A lot of people are extremely intimidated by this competitive housing market here in Los Angeles but I have found that there is so much amazing opportunity and value for home buyers and sellers right now. It really matters who you work with.

I launched a career in real estate simply because I love helping people improve their lives. Coming from a career as an award-winning comedy commercial director, I’ve worked worked with notable brands such as Instagram, Coca-Cola, Google, TripAdvisor, and Mercedes-Benz. I draw on many of the same skills that I cultivated while working on advertising campaigns, most notably the ability to make big-budget decisions and to foster seamless collaboration. My highly trained visual expertise gives me a sharp eye for top-quality staging, photography, and translating clients’ visions into the successful marketing of their luxury and investment properties.
I pride myself on being a proactive and creative problem solver; I believe that there is no room for error at this level of business and that trust and reliable communication are the bedrock of all partnerships. After years of working with highly successful individuals and companies, I understand that my clients’ privacy is of the utmost importance. I employ a full-service approach to my clients’ needs whether it’s finding a perfect first home, maximizing profit from the sale of a property, or securing profitable rental property investments.
