Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Golliday-Kraal.

Hi Nicole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Colee’s Treats & Eats started as a hobby, turned business in March of 2020. After a tough year prior and the loss of my granny (one of my biggest supporters), I decided that since I was always home baking and cooking for my family and friends, I should do something that would not only generate income but would be something that I could involve and pass down to my children in the future. I got up and asked my husband to ride with me to registrar’s office, not knowing anything about being a business owner, but God has definitely been making a way! Being in the kitchen has always been my stress relief and a way that I could express myself, being the foodie that I am! I love, love, love food!! Friends tell me that I should be a food blogger, and as big as a whale, with the amount of food that I eat! I began vending at small events and take them as they come. I am always looking for new opportunities and sharing my craft with others. I will literally feed anybody! I often pack up meals or extra items and give to those that may be in need or just desire my extra treats! I look forward to ventures that give back to or involve the communities that I have come from. I would love to turn my for-profit business into non-profit opportunities in the near future. Throughout this past year, I’ve had the pleasure of having my mom and husband as my team; helping and pushing me along every step of the way, at every event.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a pretty decent road, not too many obstacles. My biggest obstacle may probably be my self-doubt. Some days when I over-think, my husband is there telling me how great I am and how much he loves my drive. I am a full-time mom of three (2, 8, 9 y.o), a student, and I also have a full-time job, not to mention “Colee’s Treats & Eats.” In between homework assignments and homeschooling, I manage to push out a few orders here and there! I love the challenge, and I’ve still managed to land on the Dean’s list!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Colee’s Treats & Eats is a small, home-based baking and catering business. I make everything from scratch, and baked items are made to order, so they will always be fresh. I specialize in both sweet and savory items, to include cakes, cupcakes, pickles, wings, tacos, and a host of other treats. I believe that my passion and love for great-tasting food sets me apart from others. It gives me the opportunity to bring people together and see the satisfaction that I provide to others. I set out to perfect everything that I provide and put out nothing less than I’d be satisfied with receiving. Customer service and communication is always my top priority! My pickles are made with fresh cucumbers, my own special blend of seasonings, and the perfect amount of spice. They are packaged, sealed, and branded with my personal logo and are my top-sellers! I am most proud of my persistence to set and reach goals in my brand. I challenge myself to try new things and make goals bigger than the last. I am constantly working, even when it seems like I am not, to improve my system, reach more people, and grow my personal brand. My prices are reasonable and affordable, and services are able to be customized.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t necessarily believe that it is luck. I believe that God has played a major role in my life and business. He has placed me in the right places, around the right people, at the right times. I have met some of the most gracious and helpful people along my journey, and at times when I thought things were out of place or against me, He made a way!
