Today we’d like to introduce you to Gloria Tejero.
Gloria, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2014 with my partner Daniel Díaz we founded the film studio 60ráfagas where I develop project management, creative direction and art direction, director and head of production, editing, grading and data management.
In addition, I have a degree in psychology, and I have postgraduate degrees in Criminology and Criminal Law, in Forensic Sciences and Health Law, and in Community Mental Health. Also, with three specialties in Neuroscience: Drugs and the Brain by the California Institute of Technology, Cognitive Fitness at Harvard University and The Science of Well-Being at Yale University.
I am currently training in the field of graphic design and art direction.
I have won international film awards, best art director, and best film poster design for various projects.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Founding a film studio was a challenge itself, I was 26 at the moment and I had no prior experience in the industry – until that I was graduated in psychology and specialized in that field. I always had artistic interests, both in music and in graphic design and illustration but never studied an artistic degree. Last year I studied a Graphic Designer course, and later that year, I started studying a master’s degree in Art Direction and Audiovisual Creativity, which I’m finishing. I have to train during the process of creating a business, so studying and working at the same time is a challenge.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
60 RAFAGAS, 60R for short, is a film studio based in Galicia, Spain. We started in 2014 and we are specialized in commercial videos; our goal is to achieve a cinematic look in every single one of our projects. We own a RED DRAGON-X 6K, prime cinema lenses and a Freefly Movi Pro – this allows us to make our work stand out.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
The most important thing to me is enjoy with every project and give my best every chance I have. Learn something new when we work with another team. And obviously make a great project.
