Inspiring Conversations with Brittney Morse of King of Kings Beard

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Morse.

Brittney, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Well, I started king of kings beard three years ago. I bought a sample and test the product out in different market areas. A lot of black men were not aware of products for their beards. As I did my research, there beard products out there that had too much chemicals in their brand to cause irritation to the beard. So I started creating and testing my product for the best ingredients. We want to make sure anyone with sensitive skin can use our products with no problems. We launched last year 2020 of June and chose to go with organic and all-natural ingredients.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The scary part was launching during the pandemic. But this point in business and life why not covid was going be around for a while. I was already three years of research before we launched. So if I was going to make this happen had to make sure we did it right and go hard. Business was up and down. It’s finding our niche and our spot whats makes us different from any other beard brands. How to educate your customers what to look for in the ingredients and on what they buying. What is the proper beard routine, what they eat and drink and how to care for their skin. There a routine for us ladies how we care for ourselves is the same way for these men with beards.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about King of Kings Beard?
Well, I am a owner of king of kings beard and Kreme De La Femme Hair. I have learned how to cross market my brand to both women and men. I am now ready to expand even after being in business for one year. I am proud I have launch even when I doubt myself in a men’s market think would be judge and told as a women to stay in my lane when it comes to grooming products. Some feel that a women don’t know about men so why sell the products. Well, I oversee the doubts and judgment and went what I thought was right. Following your dreams is most important when you are passionate even when things don’t move or go the way you think it post to go. There is no limitation to anything.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Well, some people didn’t know I was the face of my brand they always saw my brother. Which was really weird, at the beginning I started this business for him while he was in jail and I love men with beards, lol. But as I dive in, I took it and ran with it. They thought I was helping a friend sell their products, I guess they were used to me always helping others push their business. The shocking part is when they found out and was like oh, okay we didn’t know that was you. I guess they weren’t really listing every time I mention it.
