Inspiring Conversations with Aleina Radovan of Aleina Creative Co

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aleina Radovan.

Hi Aleina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am the founder and face behind Aleina Creative Co. The birth of this business was the result of being quarantined for five months in my LA apartment, craving more out of life. From a very young age, I have always known I wanted to start my own business. I never would have thought it would have been a global pandemic that made me take the leap!

When I got laid off from my event planning job due to COVID, I knew it was the perfect time. After taking numerous online courses, trying to find a new passion of mine, I fell back in love with content creation. Throughout the years, I’ve helped many colleagues and family members with projects from wedding vision boards and invitations to flyers and event maps, you name it! I never saw this as a career because it was genuinely something I enjoyed doing on the side. I then discovered the whole world of branding and the online marketing industry! An industry that perfectly marries creativity with strategy and service. Taking my public relations, advertising and business degree mixed with my passion for content creation, I knew I needed to be putting my talent to good use! Three months into my business, I was fully booked out every month with a total of 12 paid clients! My projects range from basic branding & logo creations to Instagram styling and website design. There is a growing demand for brand designers, as many people are starting to realize corporate security doesn’t exist and how it’s the perfect time to start your own business!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although I’ve been booked out for the past three months, I wouldn’t consider my road “smooth.” There were endless days I worked until midnight, every other day imposter syndrome kicks in, and every day in between, I have “shiny object syndrome.” The hardest part for me was setting up all the systems in order to have a smooth streamlined process for my clients from proposals to contracts, invoices and onboarding. I’m still tweaking my process as I go. I am an advocate of messy action. So many of us get stuck in our heads that we end up freaking ourselves out without getting anything done. Once I realized this, I decided I needed to stop overthinking and just take action. I started giving myself deadlines, showing up on stories and announcing my due dates to hold myself accountable!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I help ambitious female entrepreneurs looking to scale their business to the next level by creating a brand and website that helps them confidently stand out online while attracting their dream clients! I offer a personalized 1:1 streamlined design approach so you can focus on your own zone of genius. My packages are meant to set you up for success! All of my clients receive a strategy call to go into a deep dive of your visions, goals and setbacks. You then will fill out a creative brief to give me an idea of the direction you want to go in. My work is a collaborative process; the more detailed feedback I receive, the better for both of us! All of my services go above and beyond the design to align your vision and take your business to the next level. I specialize in Squarespace for my website design packages. After creating your website, I also record a walkthrough tutorial so you know exactly how to edit your website in the future! All of my packages will come with an Instagram reveal post.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is one of those terms that is in the eye of the beholder. I see success being as simple as being one step closer to your goals everyday. To me, my goal is to be financially stable full-time in my current business and to never have to go back to a 9-5. In the grand scheme of things, “success” is being in control of my financial AND time freedom.
