Hidden Gems: Meet Victoria Ayad of Vibration Art Studios

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Ayad.

Hi Victoria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always known I wanted to be an artist from a young age. Early in life, I was attracted to more creative art-related subjects and activities. I was heavily involved in dance as my first outlet at the age of four, which I continue to practice and hold as my first love today. I trained in multiple styles of dance growing up, joined a couple of different dance companies, and trained a four years in gymnastics. Dance always remained a constant, but I also started seeking out more artistic avenues as I got older. Once I graduated early from high school, I took that time to take community college classes to discover which form of the arts I really wanted to focus on. I took classes like 2d design, color theory, and interior design. I then went to college at FIDM for visual communications and after continued my arts education at Otis College of Art and Design with an emphasis on sculpture and new genre arts. Throughout my time in college, I was working many events and trade shows as well as performing with different dance groups such as Rogue Makers, Soul Fresh Fam, and Hall of Fame. I had the privilege to work for a variety of Los Angeles based artists, including Alexa Meade and CC Boyce, and am currently still assisting Johannes Girardoni. All these experiences revealed to me how much I enjoy meeting other creatives and connecting with them and helping them find opportunities to pursue what they love. I also found that I have a passion to learn and create in multiple forms of art, and these two factors led me to come up with the idea for my business. Currently, my business is an art production service called Vibration Art Studios. My main focuses as an artist now are running Vibration Art Studios, continuing to develop artwork for my own art practice, as well as continuing my dance training.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say it has been smooth, more like a rollercoaster at times. Once the structure of a school schedule was gone, I started a journey of substantial self-discovery. One of my first challenges was working for artists’ and various companies and still finding time for my own artwork and personal development process. Progress seemed slower during those jobs because a lot of my focus went to my work for other people. Over the years, one of my biggest obstacles was me. My mind and my thoughts about myself as an artist weren’t as in belief of my abilities as I thought I was. I used to declare and believe I would be successful at what I do, but I didn’t realize how critical my lens was of myself; how my critiques about my style and what I create was holding me back from being fully free in my making process in any style of art, I was creating in. The criticality partnered with fear, and I even held myself back from pursuing new art forms that I knew I wanted to experience. This is one reason why I am passionate about encouraging people to pursue what they love because I know how hard it can be to create new healthy mental habits and dive into something new when the world says you won’t succeed in it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Vibration Art Studios?

I want to be the most knowledgeable I can be and share what I’ve learned with those who connect with me, work with me, and believe in the mission of Vibration Art Studios.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I love the experience of dreaming, taking note of them, learning from them. I have had many vivid dreams that feel completely real or speak to me. One dream I had, I was at a studio session with Pharrell and one other rapper, and he was telling me that I have to make my music, make my beats. I will never forget that dream, especially because of how it felt and what the people mean to me that were in it.
