Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacii Floyd. Stacii and his team share their story with us below:
The Brainstorming Epilepsy Festival Foundation and subsequent “Brainstorming Epilepsy Festival” campaigns were founded by Stacii Floyd, located in Los Angeles California, USA. Stacii Floyd has suffered with Epilepsy himself so has deep insight into the condition and subsequently has a strong passion for advocating Epilepsy Awareness and Support to the community. His 1st person approach of being a figurehead who uses his own experiences and face to tell stories using video media so that the public can relate and empathize with, epilepsy on a more human basis has been one of his great successes in developing an international reputation and following.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
There is always hardships along the way. It is never easy to showcase something that has been looked over for quite some time now. When doing that, you already know you have to fight an uphill battle. People are not gonna understand your struggles or more or less even care about them. You have to always keep in mind of the main goal. Struggles can always be turned into success.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Brainstorming Epilepsy Festival. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The mission of The Brainstorming Epilepsy Festival is to create a platform for Epilepsy worldwide. Giving the masses awareness on a digital and physical level. The platform changes the way people consume information. Whether you would like it digitally or physically. Awareness is the main key. Building a platform such as this helps give a voice to an unknown disease. Also, this platform mixes the Hollywood music industry with the awareness factor of Epilepsy. The experience itself makes me proud to be able to showcase hope to a community that is in dire need of this.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
The COVID-19 crisis made me a little bit more mindful about different things that were going on in the world. It made me sit back and think about how powerful of a message you can bring. It also gave me the knowledge to see, we’re all just human. Everyone looking to find their way. Also, that hope is very important as well. Without hope there is nothing. That is the thing that solely drives every human being to be great!
