Hidden Gems: Meet Shaasia Arthur of For Him I Live Naturally

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaasia Arthur.

Hi Shaasia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2011, I was three years in a deep state of depression. October of that year, I was at my lowest and found relief in the word of God. I eventually gave my life to Christ. As God started to transform my mind, I had this strong desire to cut off all my hair to go natural. That New Year’s Eve, I started my hair journey. March of 2012, my oldest two children and I became homeless. While being homeless, I couldn’t afford these new fancy products to keep my new hair healthy. I began to research different types of oils and butters. I was elated to find out the best things for your hair can be found in your kitchen. Mostly cooking oils. So I went to the grocery store with my food stamps, it was all I had. I bought my oils and began mixing. I created an oil mixture that has grew my hair twice as fast as normal. I named it Ayanfe Oil. Ayanfe meaning God’s beloved. In 2014, I started selling it and in 2016 I created a business out of it. For 10years For Him I Live Naturally, LLC blessed oil concoction has helped women achieve optimal hair growth all across the United States.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been an awesome journey. My entire hometown in NY use my products. They know my journey being a young single mother who’s legally blind. My business is changing other people’s lives and my life financially. I’m grateful to God for this business.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My brand is a 100% organic hair care line. Everything is made by me with love and prayer.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
God! Lol.
