Hidden Gems: Meet Robyn Atwater of CURLDAZE Hair Care

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robyn Atwater.

Hi Robyn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
One day, I realized that my hair was falling out like crazy. I decided to research natural ways to grow back my hair and created a hair growth oil. My hair began to thrive, and I started sharing my natural hair tips on Instagram and YouTube. During this time, I began formulating my own hair products and launched CURLDAZE Hair Care July 2022.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Development of my products was not a smooth road. It took me five years to perfect my formulations that I now have. Although I was eager to bring my products to market, quality products with great ingredients were at the top of my list.

CURLDAZE Hair Care is the brand that will Take Your Curls to the Next Level! We provide cruelty-free, quality products with great ingredients. We currently offer styling products for your curls as well as a moisturizing wash day collection. What sets us apart is that we have an amazing connection with our consumers and we listen to our customers and give them the types of products that they need and want. I am so proud of the amazing feedback we have gotten since launching our products, with people telling us that they not only love the products but it has changed the way they feel about their natural hair. I am also thankful for how much the brand has grown in such a short amount of time. Although we aren’t even two years old yet, our products have been accepted into and are now sold at Target, CVS, and Walmart. com.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’ve had to take a lot of risks in launching my brand. Without any investor backing, I had to invest my own savings to develop, launch, and scale my business. Although this was scary, I believed in God, myself, and the amazing quality of the products I created. I also launched my business in the middle of a pandemic. I didn’t know if I would even sell one jar, but thankfully the launch was a huge success from day one, and the business has grown exponentially ever since.
