Hidden Gems: Meet Rebecca Whitman of Balanced, Beautiful, Abundant Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Whitman.

Hi Rebecca, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I grew up thinking it was more important to look good than to feel good. I was a nationally ranked junior tennis player, which helped me get into an Ivy League school.

I graduated from Princeton and was shocked that my degree only qualified me for unpaid internships, so I found myself working in all commission sales. I loved the freedom of setting my own schedule and unlimited income.

Fast forward to 2016, when my Dad was dying as I was going through a painful divorce. In one of the last conversations I had with my father, he asked me to write something. He said that it could be a book, essay, or article. He wanted me to share my unique perspective on life. My dad was buried on a Wednesday and my divorce was finalized two days later.

Most people would be in bed under the covers, I felt my sadness, but ended up having the best year financially at my sales job and got into great physical shape. I was meeting with my financial planner while wearing workout clothes. He asked me, “what are you doing that you can wear yoga clothes in the middle of the day, while your portfolio continues to expand?”

That was the guidance I need to come up with a topic for my book! I wrote a book called “How to Make a 6 Figure Income Working Part-Time.” In the book, I divide life into 7 Pillars of Abundance; spirituality, fitness, emotions, romance, mental, social, and financial. When you have all 7 areas of life in alignment you can make 6 figures working part-time!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been many struggles!

I made a bad publishing deal, where I have barely been paid for my book sales. Learning to take my business online during Covid, led me to take many courses on online marketing, which has been challenging to learn. I have a podcast that had very low downloads and it’s finally starting to take off.

I would have a coaching event and expect 20 people and 3 would show up.

We’ve been impressed with Balanced, Beautiful, Abundant Coaching, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I help women go from OVERWHELM to BALANCED, BEAUTIFUL, and ABUNDANT. My mission is to inspire women to be unapologetically AUTHENTIC so that they can live life with RESILIENCE, GRIT, and GRACE. I help women create the abundant life that deep down, they know they deserve.

I work with women across the globe, helping them step into their own power, and claim the abundance as their right! Combining metaphysical teachings, the 12 Steps of AA, my time at Princeton, and my business savvy; I picked up as a top producing salesperson, I help people like you, get extraordinary, long-term results.

My philosophy divides life into 7 Pillars of Abundance, which include: Spiritual, physical, emotional, romantic, mental, social, and financial. The secret to an abundant life is to achieve balance within these seven key areas, allowing you to experience freedom and joy.

I offer private and group coaching, retreats, free monthly workshops, and a complimentary BREAKTHROUGH CALL.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking?
I love taking calculated risks. I have invested money in stocks, real estate, and coaching programs, I launched a podcast that is spinning off into a talk show, both called, “The Balanced, Beautiful, Abundant Show.” I have hired people to help me, not knowing if they would be able to deliver. Most of the time, these investments worked out, but sometimes they didn’t.

My perspective on risk is to trust your gut and your heart, but not your head. Your head or ego wants to keep you safe. The status quo is safe, you can’t uplevel your life in your current conditions. I believe that EVERYTHING you want is outside of your COMFORT ZONE.

I like the saying that you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. If you feel called to do something, if you don’t try you will never know. If you go for it, only two things can happen, you either WIN or you LEARN. Mistakes are the stepping stones to SUCCESS!
